This is God's word Waterfall not Satan's -----so it seems like you are calling God Satan to me by asking your question -------I believe God's word ----Who do you believe ?

16 All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will, both publicly and privately—behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage]; 17 so that the man of God may be complete and proficient, outfitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.

2 PETER 1:21---

For no prophecy ever originated because some man willed it [to do so—it never came by human impulse], but men spoke from God who were borne along (moved and impelled) by the Holy Spirit.

Jae ---your quote -----Was hoping for some of your insight unsafe. Conversations can help us all to grow.

Actually I was shocked that you of all people would ask that question ------how can you preach and teach to your church on the enemy if you yourself don't know how to fight or ward off the enemy ------God tells us what we have to do -----but we have to do it ---Jesus defeated the enemy up to us now Jae -----Insight comes from the Holy Spirit on Spiritual matters Jae -----everyone is at different levels with their walk with Christ and the Holy Spirit knows where that person is I don't -----as you can see here Jae many don't believe there is a person called Satan -----so my insight to them will mean nothing -----Period

It seems some here don't believe in Satan, or don't believe in a literal being who is Satan. As for my preaching, I don't preach a lot about Satan. I tend to say more when he is specifically mentioned in the pericope that I'm looking at. I prefer to preach about God's love, his redemptive mission, his Kingdom, and the great eschatological hope of life on the New Earth.

Are you calling God Satan ?
I think she was being sarcastic, meaning how do you know you’re not deceiving yourself into thinking the Bible magically appeared as opposed to it being written by well meaning and God inspired initiates?

Why would God go through all the trouble of creating a book, that apparently has the ability to be rewritten in dozens and dozens of versions and still be considered “the Word” of God, when God could get people to do it through divine inspiration?

Does sarcasm grease satyrs making them moer Satin-like ... a fest for discussion and intercourse as smooth?

There are tongues like that ... silently passing over beauties as they appear good enough to consume ... suck it up!

Exactly, thank you.......
This whole argument smacks of coercion through fear. Who's doing the real damage to people here? To suggest that because one doesn’t believe the Bible to be some physical counterpart of a great Book in the Heavens, (or however it’s supposed to work), then one must be controlled by Satan is really a horrible thing to say. Sure they’ll tell you they are not afraid of telling you the truth, it’s in the Bible after all, and in fact it’s their very job to warn you of your wayward path. But in the end these are just empty words.

It’s “how” we believe that matters in the end, love conquers all. But that has no organized form, they’ll say, how could God ever find His children among different belief systems when He most explicitly said that ‘the way was straight and narrow’? Well, I would say, I suppose that would all depend on one’s definition of “the way”.

Who does believe ,iyo, the fourth member of the Divinity.@BetteTheRed

Crazyheart, the figure of Satan, an important, but very metaphorical, and not-god-like figure in Judaism, has, thanks largely to John Milton and Dante, achieved the status of god in the minds of many people. It has personality, it fights with God and wins in some sectors, it has enormous power, it behaves in every way like an "Anti-God".

To me, it further complicates the whole monotheistic problem that Christianity already has with the Trinity concept.

Satan's Greatest Weapons are Unbelief that he exists and keeping us Ignorant of God's Word
If there is a Satan trying to keep us from "knowing God's Word", Satan's greatest weapon is people like you. You sound brainwashed. Serious, intervention-required brainwashed.

Of course it is. And that used to work. I suppose it still works on the weak. And we see that those most convinced of these threats, who are willing to repeat them to everyone else like some sort of Keystone Cops intimidation squad, are some of the least impressive and least convincing people you will ever come across.

I don't believe in Satan.
It doesn't follow that because there is a God, it's necessary to have a Satan.
It's just another example of how we humans are hung up on binaries.

Besides, throughout the centuries, mankind had produced enough "satans" in human form - one in anti-deity form would just be superfluous.......

In a world where the tyrants didn't wish common people to know anything ... is talk of devilish words (alien items) .. something the tyrants would rather keep in the dark? Thus the Shadow is aware of occult thing w/o doubt ...

Takes a lot of reading ... and the Oxford Convention ... taking up a quiet place to read manuscripts of auld ... auguring? Overly emotional type fun it boring and run off the page buoyed ...

We knew them as Boyd's or even Boyce's ... near relations due to mar ridges ... high arid places where wrestling occurred to draw families ...

Alien words run deep ... turn them over and over for beta understanding ... second gasp?

And this justifies you to make judgmental comments of others? “You” have no idea what’s in someone’s heart if they say the Bible was written by God inspired people, as opposed to being magically manifested. You are in no position to cast judgment on others, regardless of how “you” interpret the Bible. It’s this kind of thinking that marks the end of that “old time religion”.

Wow, big image. Where to begin? At the point where "love the sinner, hate the sin" has been demonstrated to be a destructive belief? Where "sin" is just some arbitrary religious laws? Start at the beginning and point out that Jesus dying is connected to others being "saved" like my lower back pain is connected to Bank of Canada interest rates?
