Actually, I thought Borg dealt with this very well in Reading the Bible Again for the First Time. He recognized that "Word of" need not mean "by" or "belonging to". "I have had word of my father's passing" means I received news about my father dying. So "Word of God" could be mean "Word about" or "Word inspired by the actions of" God rather than meaning that God wrote or inspired the writing of them. So you can still call it "Word of God" and not have to believe in God literally writing or guiding the writing of it.

In all seriousness, the person playing the evil villain here is you. You want ignorant, thoughtless believers. That's the crime. That's the thing worth opposing. You use a boogeyman in an attempt to chase people into your own net of stupidity, and by now you must be wondering why your nets are always empty. I know why. You're really bad at this. Hilariously bad.

The problem with the logic here, as I see it, is its circularity. You see, because we don't believe in this fourth member of Divinity, this wyrd caricature of the role of Raven/Trickster/Ha Shatan, it is because we have been duped by him.

It could be argued that this explanation is a "get out of jail card"
Academics, like most of us, see the Bible - and faith generally, through the lens of what makes them feel most comfortable. What makes us feel most comfortable might be right for us -but it's a subjective truth, not an objective one.
Why do I choose to believe, rather than disbelieve?
Because I want to. It enriches my life in so many ways. It gives me hope when hope is needed, a framework for social justice - and a realisation that mankind is limited in these areas and others. A belief in a God who is a concept for unconditional love is a winner for me. If God didn't exist, many of us would be content to invent God. It's an acknowledgement that we humans are rather limited when it comes to loving.......

How do you know Satan hasn't made you believe that the Bible wasn't written by men? Maybe he wants you to believe it would be heresy to believe that.

Was hoping for some of your insight unsafe. Conversations can help us all to grow. Imho, one of the best ways to oppose Satan is to stand against the way he manifests himself on Earth in the form of isms. That means standing in the power of Christ against such things as racism, sexism, ageism, ableism, consumerism, etc.
