He was throwing paper f***ing towels at them! Excuse my language but that is so insulting. They've lost everything. Their homes are flooded and destroyed. They have no power or running water, or food - and he comes to save the day by lobbing out paper towels like footballs. Like that's going to help so much. Then he says, "Have fun." Or something to that inane effect. I can't even....!

The Puerto Rican vote is small and irrelevant to Trump. I am not at all sure that Trump will lose any support for what he has done.
There is no Puerto Rican vote from Trump's perspective. They don't have a vote for president because since Puerto Rico isn't a state it isn't represented in the electoral college, they have no senators and they have only a non-voting delegate in the House of Representatives.

They're not on his electoral college map - so they don't really exist to him.

There aren't enough Puerto Ricans to knock him off the map.
not enough to help tip the scale of they were allowed to vote for President? Maybe not. What if Guam, the Marshall Islands, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico were all given full voting rights?

Puerto Rico's ethnic population is largely Hispanic/ Latino. He's going to lose quite a few Latinos who ever even considered voting for him - and non-Latinos. Anyone who's a "minority". He and his associates have made it quite clear that they don't like minorities. He's just doesn't care. It's beyond belief how he's behaving.

I still don't know how - even if he had Russian 'help' - he got elected. How he could even get close. I smh everyday. Everyday.

Stranger things have happened:

One just has to read history to see how Henry Wallace was defeated by Truman to win the democratic nomination for vice presidency . Truman was a farmer with no college education and did not even seek or want to become nominated and Wallace was the popular choice within the party, a man committed to peace. Truman was easily manipulated and therefore more interesting to some in the democratic party for their own agenda.....so votes were bought and promises were made to change the tide towards Truman during the democratic campaign.......the man who eventually supported using the Atomic bomb, probably because he was steered that way IMHO.

Sound familiar?

Truman grew up on a farm, and spent a few years on the family farm as an adult before enlisting in the Army during World War I, but he couldn't really be called a farmer. He dabbled at a number of jobs, and is usually referred to as a "haberdasher" - a men's clothing salesman. He also got elected as a judge even though he had no law degree, then to the US Senate. Basically, he was a political hack - a tool of the Pendergast Democratic machine of Kansas City.

Wallace was popular among the grassroots of the party but not among the party leadership, who thought he was too far left - some called him a communist. They wanted him out, because most of them realized that Roosevelt was very ill and not likely to serve out his full term is he was re-elected in 1944. Truman was a useful tool to that end, and was believed to be someone who could be controlled if Roosevelt died. Whether he wanted the job or not I don't know. From what I understand he didn't openly campaign for it but he also didn't discourage the efforts to put him on the ticket.

I figured you could add some interesting facts......it is an interesting story, how votes could be bought.

Psychopathology and Politics
  • Ponerology" derived from the Greek word poneros, from the branch of theology dealing with the study of evil.
  • In happy times, societies suppress psychological knowledge of psychopathological influence in corridors of power.
  • Happy times are not morally advanced as prosperity or happiness may be premised on the oppression of a target group.
  • Pathocracy, when individuals with personality disorders (psychopathy) occupy positions of power and influence.
  • The result is a totalitarian system characterized by a government turned against its own people.
  • Pathocracy emerges when society is insufficiently guarded against the inevitable minority of such abnormal pathology.
  • In such cases individuals infiltrate an institution or state, prevailing moral values are perverted into their opposite, and a coded language like Orwell's doublethink circulates into the mainstream, using paralogic and paramoralism in place of genuine logic and morality.
Trump is only one of the psychopaths ... allowing him to dominate the world stage is the agenda of the rest of them.

Some in the 'normal' population are more susceptible to pathocratic influence, and become its lackeys ...

by focusing on the distractions they play right into the pathological dealers hand.

The only way out of this mess is for the majority of humans being to instinctively resist and govern themselves accordingly ...

It's hard to deal with this because it's all wrapped in a mythology of patriotism and honour and serving one's country. We actually use Nov. 11 to encourage more wars as great acts of patriotism.

Could you imagine if the USA elected a pacifist for president and he could actually control the military-industrial complex that has evolved?
