TRUMP - Some people think......... How do you feel?

Posted this on Facebook a year ago. I feel it was the day after the first Presidential Debate. At the time, many were saying that Trump had lost the debate. Well, he certainly had some good moments in it. Fun to reflect back.

For the moment North Korea seems to have faded away while Trump attacks the Mayor of San Juan and the people of Puerto Rico on Twitter, as they deal with a catastrophe of unimaginable proportions and while many of them have no food, no water, no power and no homes. From his feed this morning:

"Such poor leadership ability by the Mayor of San Juan, and others in Puerto Rico, who are not able to get their workers to help. They want everything to be done for them when it should be a community effort."

The man is an ass. How can anyone even start to question that.

Can they get their workers to help?

He's worse than an ass. He has the sense of privilege that is common among our aristocracy of inherited wealth. We're repeating the days of European aristocracy when generation after generation got progressively dim-witted while still holding on to political power and military leadership. Thus the charge of the light brigade.

@Jae what workers? Everybody is living in squalid destruction and caught up in personal survival. Everybody is suffering a lack of electricity. Everybody is hungry.

When corporations have similar problems (and much lesser ones), they get immediate help in the form of tax rebates, grants, etc.

Few have adequate shelter. No one has enough food, water or fuel. If you get supplies to the island, you still need to distribute them, and that infrastructure is badly damaged.

Trump wants to hear that he is doing well. It doesn't matter if he is. Anyone who praises him without cause is good in his books. Anyone who criticizes him with cause is "nasty". He is not living anywhere near reality.

No, jae. That's not what I said. I said that government workers, like everybody else, are caught up in all the horror of what has happened. Like others, they have to help their own families cope.

So there are government workers but they are not able to do the work they have been hired to do. As quoted by @revsdd, President Trump said, "Such poor leadership ability by the Mayor of San Juan, and others in Puerto Rico, who are not able to get their workers to help..." It would seem that the workers are unable to get to where they can help.

They are stupefied by natural events that take their ability away to do Job ... food, water and indeterminate powers due to loss of the former means ...

This is a basic thing overlooked by authority wishing the medium of the marketplace to work without cause!

Is co median power pared down ... as a phun Y thing? Leviathan that creeps out hose in the leadership position? Tis an upstanding thought compared to understanding's ...

Irrational leaders expect mortal workers to do things without nothing ... nones ... thus paired thongs, strings ... dippy thongs ... para elles?

After today...I don't know how anyone can question it. Not that it wasn't already apparent - but today he's telling people of PR - who are struggling to stay alive - to be thankful it's not a real catastrophe like Katrina. Only, imo, because he doesn't want this to be his political 'Katrina'. The death toll is far from fully counted - this tragedy is ongoing. He is truly bizarre. He...just...can't...care. I don't even think he tries to be an ass, or does it consciously most of the time. It just comes naturally to him. Maybe that's the most frustrating thing about him - he can't even recognize it! He thinks whatever he does is great and buffers himself with lies, that he believes, if he has any doubt.

I still don't know how - even if he had Russian 'help' - he got elected. How he could even get close. I smh everyday. Everyday.

If I was intent on establishing an authoritarian agenda, I would begin by opening the way for an egotist of just about any kind. An entrepreneurial egotist seems to work well. Pulling diverse media strings that egotist would divert and distract the general population. Allowing me to establish my authoritarian foundations with minimal notice.

It's true. But it 'was' noticeable before the election. At least a year before - that something was really, very, weird about the picture.

You do not look people who have been through a catastrophe in the eye and tell them it wasn't as bad as another catastrophe. They lost everything. They know people who died.

He has no capacity for empathy. He doesn't understand it, and it doesn't interest him.
