Want to have an art sale here at the house September long weekend...mom and niece not supportive at all. :(

Maybe try e-bay, or something like that? Is there an artists' co-op anywhere reasonably close? Other possibilities of outlets? Might be worth looking into.

Does plan require rationale ... or just opinion? Can there be just opinion under free will without Q'Loos ...

Loves like that ... causing imperfect people failure of thought ...

This too goes round ... although denied by those squarely going by the book ...

Is some wobble allowed ...

Cool here. Wet, perpetually. Waded into the nettle patch this aft. What is usually a small struggling patch is quite emboldened by all this rain, so I thought it best to tame it, get rid of the seed heads, harvest enough rough stuff for a couple of bins of nettle compost tea, and encourage a bit of new growth to do for drinking tea for the winter. Well, my long sleeves rode up my arms (should have tucked them in the gloves) and thin rayon pants can get stung through, so I'm "tingling" my way through the evening.

Been a long time since I remember such a damp cool summer. My back yard is still a hayfield, as it never stays dry long enough to cut it...

We're really dry here too. I think we are going to get rain tonight though. There will at least be a t-storm. Dog is not impressed.

Our yard is so dry it crunches.

I hate that feeling. The English woman in me is much happier wading through muck and nettles and mosquitoes; dealing with overflowing rain barrels and too many nettles. But it is unusually damp here, and I have had some problems with some of the wild grape vines developing mouldy patches. Not good if hops and other herbs have the same sort of problems. Some of the tomatoes seem to have some spotty mildew problems as well. A productive summer, maybe, but perhaps better for some crops than others. Roses haven't been great, either. They like more sun. Peppers are a real thumbs down here. Peas, beans, and lettuce have been extraordinary.

Dentist today at 2pm. Later, I might do supper at a local diner. I've got to get me some genuine Canadian food.

I had one of my faves - genuinely Mexican food. Don't get me wrong, i loves me some fast food Tex-Mex like Quesada but real Mexican food cooked by Mexican cooks is a whole other plane of reality. And it's damnably hard to find in Canada, esp. the culinary wasteland that is London. Chicken enchiladas in tomatillo sauce with onions for the win.
