Again, we're all storming off track. The issue is not Trump. He is simply a reflection of what the U.S. is - a nation founded on racism, murder and theft -and which still operates on these. The U.S. has been voting for presidents who support racism and mass murder and looting of other countries for many, many years. (No. Lincoln did NOT go to war to free the slaves. In fact, well into the war, he was still opposed to freeing the slaves.)

Trump is a typical American president, but one with a serious ego problem. Choosing another president will change nothing. This is a country that was based on racism and looting and murder long before Trump was born.
The best thing Canada could do would be to detach itself from the American empire. But I see no sign that any Canadian party is prepared to do that.

Bush told secrets to Russia? Big deal. Previous presidents murdered millions, let billionaires off paying taxes, created rising poverty in the U.S., tortured unknown thousands. Meanwhile, the total number of Americans killed by terrorists falls well short of the number killed by a health system that exists more to make a profit than to help people.

Pence is finding himself deeper into the Michael Flynn thing. It's been reported that Flynn told the transition team about his ties to Turkey before he became National Security Advisor. The transition team was headed by Mike Pence. But in March Pence said he knew nothing about Flynn having such connections. So either Pence lied in March, or there were secrets being kept from him even when he was supposedly "in charge" of the transition.

First, I do not read those scripture to place the rapture on Sept 23. What I do suggest is that the event that is going on right now and culminates somewhere around Sept 21 and 23 is to my mind the best fit to Matt 24:30 and Rev 12:1,2 since Jesus spoke them.

Second, if it is indeed the sign, somewhere between now and September 21 to 23, shtf has to take place:

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

So what tribulation can be the worst ever? Worse than world wars or the plague, or the flooding of the earth? That happens before September 21 to 23. Nuclear warhead craters miles wide and hundreds of feet deep worth of earth vapourized and launched into the upper atmosphere to block out the sun and moon?

Do you think Jesus still knows not the day or hour? Is prophesy in the bible for a reason, or just to be ridiculed?

This is a powerful question with equally powerful consequences for the discussion at hand.

I have nothing, apart from Matthew 24: 36 which I can look to for proof as to what Jesus knows/does not know. If you want to speculate that the circumstances surrounding Jesus' knowledge of when do so at your leisure. Such speculation would be inconsistent with earlier critique of others, by yourself, regarding what you perceive is their speculation.

So make your case.

Even if I were to speculate that Jesus does, as a matter of fact, now know what was previously kept from him I would need to speculate why Jesus is now disclosing that knowledge. Speculation upon speculation. You would support that would you? Or maybe you wouldn't support me doing that but you are okay doing it yourself?

I believe it is there for a reason. It doesn't follow that I agree that it could be any reason or that some reasons offered will be immune to ridicule.

With respect to the Lord's return I think Matthew 24: 36 is very clear. You do not know when so you best always be prepared. Since there is a great deal of prophecy tied to the Lord's return and that which proceeds it I still find Matthew 24: 36 to be most informative, verse 42 repeats the reality of ignorance in the matter to drive home the point. Be ready always. Do not think you will get a warning.

Those who spend a great deal of time and energy in trying to pinpoint when are not getting ready. They are setting an alarm clock believing that they need to be ready then and not now.

September 24, 2017 between the two of us only one will be able to turn to the other and say, "I told you so."

Re: Trump resigning. I saw a Fox News headline in passing that read: "Does Trump really want to be President?" (I'm not going to search for it now but other media were asking that months ago).
