The pro-life crowd in the U.S. is currently trying to defund Planned Parenthood while they remove school lunches from underprivileged schools. They don't care about kids - they just want to feel good about pleasing their God. They're selfish jerks.

And of course, women who decide that abortion is their best choice need care and understanding, not criminal charges. See how fast the lawmakers will run if you try to make pressuring a woman to have an abortion a crime.

There is the problem rooted in double standards. Fundamental Christian thinking is focused on two sins above all others.

The silencing of a fetus pales beside the calculated starvation of millions of children and their mothers at home and abroad. While "Focus on the Family" encourages believers to join them for a Disney cruise.

The other great sin is homosexuality. In both cases, where faith, hope and love are in play, all is well.

In any case where these qualities are absent, folk are left to do as well as they are able. And of course some will not do well at all.

We will do well with the increase of advocacy and the decline of accusation.

Only the NIV interprets to use the word "miscarries"its [FONT=Open Sans, sans-serif] used it in the place of words that translate as "waste away", its a wrong interpretation but pro choice people love to use this NIV interpretation to state abortion is ok , which it is not ok. Even if one wants to argue and use the word "miscarriage" it comes at the has of nature an naturalistic process , abortion is not natural it is deliberate , thus the name "abort" .

But if you really like to study this passage, you will find its not about abortion or miscarriage , its about [/FONT]Jealousy and the Lord acting as a witness in the act of Adultery and cursing of the woman being the product of the act.

no one is accusing anyone of any sin here let alone the topic of abortion , this is a discussion form, and altho we need a balance of Truth & Grace in our decisions , one cannot Trump one over another or even remove one for the other , the Church is the Pillar of Truth and Christ the Grace offered.

With the whole gay thing, I think the world is simply going to have accept and get over it. Even if it's just on compassion and human respect grounds. No matter how ones interprets scripture, (and usually out of context), we have no right to judge another like this.

Abortion can be a horrible practise if ever used selfishly. We're talking about terminating the Life that's splitting itself into physical existence. What was this Life Energy before this bursting forth of physical expression? If there is an immortal Soul then where is that line between the Soul and it's physical counterpart? This debate rests on sacred ground.

At what point does the Soul take control of the form? Conception? Before conception ? Birth? The old teachings say that it's not until about the seventh year that the Soul takes "full" control of the personality. But it's understood with the words "full control" that it's a relative concept. It's "full" to us, but for the Soul we are still just "per-sons", still just a small part of its attention.

No, AC33 ... this is an incident in time ... my parents hated one another and me. Dad left home when I was 1-2 years, an mother was under the care of a psychiatrist for much of my pre adult life, for anger control ... not an environment to put to disassociated into.
