The others sorrows loosing you ... instead ... but as the walking dead they didn't see the end coming ... even though believed to be well versed in ontological etudes ...
You can almost see those rear ends going ... kind 'a red as compared to the blue won't approaching fast .... iindi ghost forms!
Some people don't have god, or love for such fringe etudes ... given the subjective clutter and cluster ...

My Thoughts ----
The Church administration puts pressure on their Clergy to bring the people into the Church building and to keep getting new faces in Church cause they need money-----Ministers are pressured to have bake sales ----fund raising events cause without money there would be no facility to preach in and no staff to run the organization --no money for missions or community outreach etc -----
The Churches View on the negative side of money is killing them for lack of it -------The Right Preaching on Money which is included in Stewardship preaching will produce the right result ------Jesus talks more about money in the Bible than he does heaven and hell --money is mentioned over 2,000 times in the Bible
God gives very precise instructions on what to do with His Money -----don't horde it ----don't store it up for self ----give it out and I will Bless you -----if a Church is giving to a Mission and is in lack in the Church itself and decides to cut funds to the Mission to sustain the Church and staff then you are going against what God wants done with His Money ------you are to give what you have to help others not yourselves -----Money is a Spiritual Issue ----as well as a worldly issue --
Many preach that the Blessings and Curses were only for the Law and today believers are not under the law in Deut 28----we are under Grace ----True statement -but the Blessings and Curses that are listed in Deut 28 are Promises that are still in force today ----
Jesus defeated the promised curse on the Cross and brought in only the promised Blessings under Grace -----there are no other Blessings listed in the Bible for the New Covenant of Grace so the Blessings listed in Deut 28 are fixed and in place for us today ------just like there are no other curses listed for people who refuse to become re born in their Spirit so the Curses listed are fixed and in place today as well ----like it or not ---believe it or not -
Those who are Born Again are privileged to the Blessings they are there for our receiving but it is up to us to do the receiving ---Faith requires right action to bring the right results ------Jesus paid the price for His Children to be recipients of the Promised Blessings of God ---up to us to actually activate them by and through our Faith ---

Ministers are pressured to have bake sales? Not in my experience. In any church I've been in, the minister didn't have to be pressured to have bake sales because fund-raising wasn't their job. Their job was to be the spiritual leader of the church and support the lay leadership, who were the ones responsible for things like the budget. IOW, it was the job of the Board, Finance Committee, Stewardship Committee, or individual groups in the church to have bake sales and the minister mostly supported the events with his/her presence.
And, to be honest, I have rarely seen things like bake sales used to support general revenues. In my UCCan days, something like that was usually fundraising for a specific project or goal or group within the church (e.g. the organ fund or capital account). Some fundraising for missions was done, but a lot of that still came from designated giving to M&S in weekly offerings. My UU fellowship did have one big fundraiser a year but that's still a small % of our general revenues. Most were from givings.
Again, I never saw a church taking money from missions to put towards general revenues. Members might choose to direct their funds differently, but that's not the church making that decision. If someone gave money designated for M&S (or Social Justice in the UU world), that's where it went. How much the church then added to that from general revenues was the only question.
That said, I've always been involved in relatively democratic churches where a lot of the onus for what happens rests with the congregation, not the leadership. The leadership puts forward a budget, but the people vote on it. In the UU world, in particular, there's plenty of opportunity for people to amend or contribute to what the leaderships puts forward. You can't just target "the Church" as an institution for how it handles money, IOW, but "the Church" as the individual members of the "body of Christ" (barring churches where the leadership does hold all the cards).

I don't believe in joining a Church ---I go to Church to hear the Sermon on God's word and to worship Him with praise and songs ------The Church I go to has a Minister who is Born Again and he understands my views and we have had many talks about the Church changing and he has started to use His Bible when giving his Sermons and is one who was told not to preach on money by his Administration ------it is a small Church and recently had ask for funding to keep the building open -------they don't know how much longer they will be in business -----He would be willing to introduce the money issue while preaching on stewardship but fear of getting in trouble keeps him bound from the subject ------we have had many discussions on this he is a fairly young minister who is getting fed up on being told what is right to preach and what isn't --He has witnessed my success and says that he is not there yet but hopes to grow his Faith to be as confident as I have become in my Faith to rely on God as I do ----it is not easy to trust in an unseen God ----
As far as myself goes personally ----God has given me the strength to give through His Grace ----God has directed me to help people ---God gave me the ability to help a lady pay off her loan at the bank who was in money trouble ---- God gave me the ability to pay off a car debt for a person in need -----I am personally financially secure all I owe is household monthly bills --lights --phone --heat ---I have no debt -----all glory is God's
Don't know if this answers your question ----I am not a Minister employed by the Church so I can only talk to the Clergy and give my voice to the issue---I don't make the rules for what should be preached or not preached ----
One thing I do Know is without the Holy Spirit a Minister is not capable of Preaching the real truth because the truth is not in him ------
God says Test me on this with the Tithe -----and that is the only way to know if what God has Promised works ----you have to put your Faith into action and do it ----and fully trust that all will be well -----this does not happen over night it takes courage and patients and practice -----
I don't believe in joining a Church ---I go to Church to hear the Sermon on God's word and to worship Him with praise and songs ------The Church I go to has a Minister who is Born Again and he understands my views and we have had many talks about the Church changing and he has started to use His Bible when giving his Sermons and is one who was told not to preach on money by his Administration ------it is a small Church and recently had ask for funding to keep the building open -------they don't know how much longer they will be in business -----He would be willing to introduce the money issue while preaching on stewardship but fear of getting in trouble keeps him bound from the subject ------we have had many discussions on this he is a fairly young minister who is getting fed up on being told what is right to preach and what isn't --He has witnessed my success and says that he is not there yet but hopes to grow his Faith to be as confident as I have become in my Faith to rely on God as I do ----it is not easy to trust in an unseen God ----

When the Church has to borrow they put themselves in Lack -----Satan loves it when Churches have to ask for funding to keep them going ----cause he knows what eventually will happen ---Keeping God shut down is his job -----
