With regards to prayer:
Here's a bunch of speculative "what if's" thought up by yours truly. Mixing science with some ideas and thoughts. Purely unscientific research on my part, just a wondering.
We are taught that in space no one can hear you scream. Space has no sound only vibrations.....but science(Nasa) has designed a way to hear the "sounds" of the planets when these vibrations are lowered to a level that the human ear can detect. (or something like that)
When you listen to these recordings it's amazing the music that is actually going on in space from these planets that we can't hear. Some of the sounds are frightening and to be honest, earth's sound isn't the prettiest. The moon lo has a beautiful tone. The Sun (I know, not a planet) is very imposing with its pulsating heat sounds.
So "what if", the health of our planet and it's people can actually be heard by something (God?) that is able to hear us through those vibrations? What if our prayers become those vibrations that actually do transcend the atmosphere crossing into space?
The chants of OHM, the gatherings with others in prayer, the solitary prayer, the unpronouncable name for God....all transmitted through space through vibrations that reach the "ears" of something that understands what it all means. The collective soul of our planet understood by what we pray or don't pray?
Once again, just thinking out loud.
Feast your ears on the sounds of our solar system and scroll down to hear the planets:
