Peanuts also gave us some really bad psychiatric advice (tongue in cheek, I always thought).

Charlie Brown: "I am really depressed. What should I do?"

Lucy in the psychiatrist stand: "Snap out of it. Five cents please."

The psychiatrist's stand/ office looked just like a lemonade stand.

Didn't Lucy also dispense lemonade?

The Peanuts gang also checked in on art appreciation:

Linus: "I see you have drawn a boy with his hands behind his back, Charlie Brown. That is because you yourself have feelings of inferiority."

Charlie Brown: "THAT IS BECAUSE I MYSELF CANNOT DRAW HANDS."

You've got me beat, YJNK, it's only -26 with the wind chill here. But we've got snow squall warnings, as well. Thankfully, it's only a 5-minute drive to church, but I'll be there LAST if I don't get my butt in gear here...
I might have been the LAST one to arrive at church this morning. The greeters were still at the door but the first gathering song was underway.

that is interesting. alL my koreAn and Philippino friendS (and in the case of Korean - _family_) call iT by its proper name, lunar new year.
Only heard it referred to the Lunar New Year a couple of weeks ago as part of an astrology session I participated in.

Back to one of the Peanuts philosophers:

Linus: "I have decided not to hang up a stocking this year. I just don't think it's scriptural."

For Beth Anne - I have sent my column, plus a second item with a title for it. Let me know if they arrive.

Peanuts and Pogo were the beginning of golden age of comics. Then there was Walden's Pond and others. It began about 1950, and lasted into the 1980s. Now, it's all gone. We're back to Blondie and Dagwood, a real stinker that goes back almost a century. I find it annoying now just to see a comics page.
Originally, Blondie was a scatterbrained flapper, and Mr. Dithers was her father. I guess it might have been funny in 1929. Though not as good as Krazy Kat or Nemo in Slumberland.

I'm curious. I was in China at what everyone called Chinese New Year. It was in summer - August, I thought. Does it change widely from year to year?
Notice BethAnne's casual thanks. I spent over an hour writing a column for her. She responds with three words.
Thank your for your effort, Bethanne.
I'm surprise that paradox 3's church would allow a dog in for the service. Does the minister bark for it?
