Always bull down here ... a domain in which to dip alien souls just for an experience of life ... but this too slips by with time added ... time being and unseen thing without the clockworks ...

I get that Mrs. Anteater. Both are a kind of bullying, but the comparison stops there.
That probably hard to understand unless you grew up in my generation inGermany. you can't call the gassing of people " bullying", but I know where you want to go with it. Just the combination of " gas" and hurtful behaviour sets off these memories.

How new words sneak into society- I remember when I was a kid, there was the expression " to do something until the gassing", when you were doing something really boring over and over. Nobody put a second thought to it, it was just an expression ( in the 60ties and 70 ties). Once you think about what you were saying, you never use that expression again.

Don't know you enough to tell, but we (OTs) tend to joke at work that we will all have dementia and give the staff a hard time, because we know everything better...;)
So true! We joke about that too - we've administered all the screening assessments so many times that they're now firmly lodged in procedural memory - good luck to those who will try to assess us with any accuracy!!

I was at Handel's Messiah last night. I thought of Northwind singing it at Carnegie Hall last year.

I also thought -how Canadian-we dropped off my hockey billet-who watched a hockey game in attached building with the indoor swimming pool in between. Classical music, hockey and indoor pool-just a slice of Canadian winter.

We have glorious snow in s. Ontario

I give thanks to those who keep the roads clear and people who invented snow blowers.

I am thankful for family that pops in and my children being healthy

Looked out my window at one point this morning and Little M, the lady across the street and one of her daughters, and the old farmer next door were all out with shovels. Little M was out on the slopes last night. So I guess winter is well and truly here.

My daughter asked me when the world went from black and white to color. It's a wonderful life and the alister sim Scrooge are two classic b&ws to watch before Christmas.

My daughter calls shovelling her winter exercise regime...I do the front steps before my dog walker comes at 7 a.m. Mon through Friday, and if we get a real dump, or there's terrible heavy stuff at the road, there's plenty of neighbours with snowblowers happy to help her out.

So, my job today, the Peace Labyrinth at the church, is constructed for the season. It's a truly beautiful experience to walk it, and to offer this experience to our neighbours.

Bette - can you say more about your Peace Labyrinth? Any photos? I'm curious - sound like a wonderful project - at least in my imagination.

It's lovely. Our local labyrinth lady maps it out on the floor of our "Memorial Hall", which is a general purpose room with stage, etc. We cover over her map with strings of lights, then fresh winter greenery. We add a couple of Christmas trees in corners, provide a docent for 4-5 hours a day for the week before, the week after, Christmas.

And for those who don't have facebook, and can't see the above, there's a rotating announcement, with pics, on our webpage: http://www.graceucc.ca/

oh my - it's wonderful Bette! Do you have visitors from outside of your congregation too? I like that you have a docent available too. I'm imagining gentle music playing in the background ....

It's beautyful.
You were talking shoveling snow and I first thought you were making a snow labyrinth. ( which also would be quite special).
Your churches website looks very inviting. I would try your church,if I lived there.

Yes, we get quite a few visitors from outside our congregation to it. We're on a fairly busy corner, and we have an electronic sign and a generous-sized parking lot, all of which encourage drop in visitors. And yes, we have a CD player set up with classical/Christmas music.

And we'd welcome you, Mrs. Anteater, for a visit, to stay awhile; we're a pretty comfy place.

I had one friend ping me, clearly crashing . she was safe, but raised my concerns late Saturday night. The one thing interesting was our chat was there for her to review & reflect on late Sunday , after she was sober and had come out of the dark place.
Then, another friend pinged me Sunday night to say that she had discovered her sister's body that morningafter her sister had committed suicide.

I am aware of the hurt that runs through some people's lives and am aware of how it can be amplified during times of stress, whether it be fear of trump's actions, or christmas family joys/loss.

Take care of each other, folks. Stay alert on wondercafe and in real life. remind folks that they are loved and are worthy.
