Saturday evening of Canada Day weekend. Soon I should be hearing the soothing sounds of fireworks.

For whatever odd reason seems sufficient to them, they prefer Saturday night here.

I'm one of the very few people in this neighborhood who doesn't have a dog (or more than one dog).
You know what? Dogs really hate fireworks....

I had a Labrador Retriever that would look up for ducks falling when he heard loud bangs ... reaction depends on where yah comes from ... des our*ce/our's/hors thingy! It too must be respected as Ephraim 've genre ... that's the spirit ...

After that you're out of here and now ...

My two are very frightened, Lucy in particular. Makes holiday weekends a bit stressful around here. LAST on a lovely cool Sunday morning.

It's not either/or, Jae. I have two cats, as well; there are three in my house. None are, as far as I know, afraid of fireworks. In fact, Atwood came in sometime in the middle of the night, indicating that she might very well have included "listening to firecrackers" along with "kill at least one mole and leave it for Mom" in her evening's activities.

Thus moleskin as an icon of things done in the dark?

Catching the generally unseen Rhode antes? That inner gnawing ... cat's intuition! The tuition part is particularly intense ... ID'll cost yah ...

Dis places previous things thought ... or believed to be virtue until experienced ...

Oh sure Bette, cats and dogs are both great. While I was a kid my family had both living with us at various times (as well as rabbits, doves, hamsters, gerbils, mice, a rat, a guinea pig, a raccoon, and a chicken). My family as it is now is made up of Yobo, our sons, our cat, and me. Will we ever have a dog? Perhaps. :sneaky:
