Muslims & Christians: Same God?

Have you no faith in your GOD Rev?---Try saying, what David as a young man said to a big Guy much stronger than he. What a mistake you have made. As you have declared war on GODS Chosen.

Having taken a few minutes to consider your question thoroughly with all the attention it deserved, I can honestly say that, yes, I do have faith in my God. So much so that I personally don't live in fear of Muslims and imagine what terrible things they're planning to do to me and all my fellow Christians.

Let me ask you:

Did the 300,000 Christians you cite as having been killed by Muslims have no faith in their God? Was God unable to protect them? Where was God?

"The Muslims believers have Killed over Three hundred thousand Christians Last Year alone." unsafe

I have added a short quotation from a 60 Minutes broadcast from some years ago below. World relief agencies had estimated that one half of a million Muslim children died as a result of our sanctions against Iraq. Then Secretary of State, Madeline Albright, stated that this death count was hard to hear but that she thought the price was worth it. This is a high positioned American politician unembarrassed about what is a horror for any compassionate person. I hope you will agree that Jesus was a compassionate person and would not bless any nation which condoned the death of innocents to serve the interest of the rich and powerful now ruining the world. Many of them in the name of the Christian God.

How would you feel if your were a Muslim mother or father, auntie or uncle, grandmother or grandfather, friend or neighbour to those dead children? Would you perhaps be sympathetic to those who want to resist American imperialism justified by appeal to God's revelation in Jesus Christ?

Here is a thought for Christians in the modern world who take the perspective you present here: "You find great fault with those who are different from you and want to change them. Perhaps you should begin by getting your own perspective clear." [Matthew 7: 5]

George

Lesley Stahl on U.S. sanctions against Iraq: We have heard that a half million children have died. I mean, that’s more children than died in Hiroshima. And, you know, is the price worth it?

Secretary of State Madeleine Albright: I think this is a very hard choice, but the price–we think the price is worth it.

--Hi Jae-- I would say ,you need to see the news of the world" . The Muslims believers have Killed over Three hundred thousand Christians Last Year alone. They are attacking Israel . almost every were in the world. Of course this is not every Muslin, I am sure, there are some" who do not agree with what is happening. But to come out an say " this just is not happening. IS a Lie. It is not getting less Jae. It is sad , we have let this it go ,as far as we have. We and other Nation's have tried to help those Muslims , who do not agree with those, who are killing others, and them" as well. It is time we stand by them. We have many Muslims who have come to This Great Country Of Freedom. so they could save there family's. I think that's great . I think it would be greater. For the free world, to make it safe" if there choice is to return to there homes, to rebuild .
Would it be fair to say then that Christians are burning crosses and bombing and murdering those that oppose them?

Hi Pontifex,

"For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?"

The practice of terrorism is an explicit reaction to an aggressive imperial agenda on the part of Capitalism in bed with Christianity. We have been exploiting peoples and places at the cost of uncounted millions of persons who have been murdered, driven from their homes and had their lands polluted and defiled. We do this under the cover of darkness, hiding our complicity by funding malcontents and reactionaries in diverse contexts.

Greed and avarice produce envy and resentment. We are reaping what we are sowing and have sown for a long while. Our calling is to repentance for our transgression of human right for the sake of power and profit. It is not to force repentance, by military might, on the part of those whom we provoke and antagonize.

The children in Iraq and Japan were not killed because of their religion. Nor was is because of Christ that they died.

The USA is not the representative of the Christian church. The USA has killed over 22 million of its own through abortion since 1996.

The 300,000 Christians were killed for their faith by a faith that follows a prophet who beheaded many people because of their faith. He is the perfect representative of that religion.

"This Great Country Of Freedom" unsafe

This great country of freedom is polluting the earth and defiling humanity by its addiction to power and profit. We will answer for this abomination by which the name of God is made a scandal in the earth. Having sown the wind we are now reaping the whirlwind.

The children killed all over the world in the wake of our determination to bring the earth and its peoples into submission were killed by a renegade power (anti-christ) blessed by the Christian religion; passively or actively.

  • -- Hi George do you understand this earth goes through a heating up, and cooling down.

IN evaluating "automatic revelation" books like the Quran, The Course in Miracles, or the Seth books, I begin by looking for falsifiable claims. All 3 works can be discredited on this basis. In the case of the Quran, we can begin with the absurd claim borrowed from the Gnostic heresy that Jesus never suffered on a cross.. The Course om Miracles and the Seth books also make this absurd claim. As for the Quran, its stories about Jesus are largely derived from discredited late 2nd-5th century Christian infancy Gospels which are totally fictional. Enough said!

Hi Rev--Steve -- Is this a question that you believe would cause a Christian follower to stumble? The GOD I follow Rev, is in charge , and is watching his plan come into being. So then do you believe He will not punish those Involved . I don't think they will go free. Should we help our Brothers in Christ? Should we here in Canada understand we should be ready? Do you believe--Muslims & Christians: Same God?

Should we help our Brothers in Christ?

We should help all who face persecution for their faith regardless of religion. Christians facing persecution in Muslim countries, sure. But also Muslims in Burma facing persecution from the country's Buddhist majority or in Central African Republic where they are under attack by Christian militias. We should help gays facing imprisonment or execution in several countries in Africa, both Muslim and Christian. Oppression must be opposed regardless of who is oppressed and who is the oppressor. I will be happy to speak out for Christians under attack in Muslim countries or anywhere else. Will you do the same for religious or other groups under attack in Christian ones?

I honestly do not understand some Christians, did Jesus not die for humanity while we were non believers?, I mean why do Christians only look out for Christians and ignore the rest if Humanity !

(This make me sick.) We need change are Laws NOW.---4,129,009

Okay, I fixed your table so it is clear where the year ends and the number begins. Your total of 4,129,009 is meaningless in terms of analyzing current reality because it reflects nearly 40 years. What matters is the trend over time. What we see is a peak in 1996-97 and then it begins coming down again. So the number of abortions drops beginning in 1997 (at least up until 2010 when your numbers end) in spite of the fact that the abortion law was struck down in 1988. So tell me again why we need to change the law when your desired outcome (fewer abortions) is happening without legal intervention.

By the way, if you're going to throw statistics around, you should give a source. So, where did you get these numbers? A link is best so we can check the provenance for ourselves.

We do have an abortion thread in Health & Aging by the way so perhaps we can take this there.
