Is human nature leaning towards reason or spiritually over-emotional states in which rational drops out of the equation? Is conflict needed to support such brewing failures?

I didn't know where to put this concept as there isn't a philosophical Forum ... and it didn't seem to connect in Relationships and Politics. It definitely would fit Religion but the rejection of the tree of knowledge seemed to eliminate that pathe ...

Does reason fit into religious attitudes toward such emotions?

Leaves me dizzy in contemplation ... of either end of the measuring sticks ... Go's Hun? Deltoid of Nihilism? Triangles can be the death of many frightful squares --- Robert Service wrote a poem on this Circle of meditation ... it floats about in the drifting and unnamed winds ... deep Plexus?

Expressed in such a way that people that didn't wish to process it ... wouldn't! Thus Dark Forest Cakes ...

Quies of the Shadow ... the qoua! Odd birds ...

I think people think they are mostly guided by reason, but in truth, it’s the emotions which make us tick. ( Then the reasons hopefully kicks in and tries to do damage control). Proof for that would be:
- the amount of unplanned pregnacies despite the availability of birth control.
-Advertising completely counts on people’s emotions and appearently it works.
- crimes are mostly done for love, hate or money- seldom for need.
- If reason would guide politics, there wouldn’t be a Trump.
- Mobilising people for war always happens through appealing on emotions.
- Fundraising works best with emotions.
- We are unable to get active to stop climate change, because it is too great a problem to grasp to trigger a serious emotional response leading to action.
- Religion completely depends on emotion, only using reason to try to find more arguments for it.

Right on! However much emotional editorial opinions will disagree with us due to the cutting down of the tree of knowledge ... putting wisdom in a dark partisan position. Then partisan is considered underground or contrary to power!

Thus we remain adrift in the alien winds ... sort of frothy and rimey ... spitting poetics? Black roosters ... or deep woods turkeys?

Could we recess and do the Black Swan Honker ...

I dunno about this one. I think that the reality of climate change probably underlies a fairly significant amount of the chronic all-pervasive depression that seems to permeate western society. And I know that certain climate activities, like the gulf oil spill a few years ago, seem to affect me almost viscerally (I had a horrible feeling that Gaia was bleeding during that whole period).

What I meant was- one dead child on a beach causes a huge outcry and a flood of donations. 500 drowning refugees daily don't do that.
Climate change is well known to a lot of people - but it is to big to trigger a movement that efficiently changes the outcome.
If the emotions of the politicians at the G7 and G20 meetings could be triggered by painting a picture of their own children/grand children dying a terrible death- possibly even Trump could be influenced.

And some folk say there is no pick and choose function ... when so many ignore the small things like detached refugees ... the cause of detachment appears a mystery to so many ... as we infringe on the earth without respect of reactions!

Is avarice the easiest choice if not contemplated? Like moderate fermentation ... it can be ignored by sheer will ... positive powers versus buried wisdom ... reciprocal in mind as heiro gama ... tis a great void ... that which is absence ... isolated bits of a greater sol?

Someone said that humanity was like a vast virus ... Gods depression ... and depression seems to encourage numb Ness ... numinous aspirations? Psychotic exit ...

I just watched the documentary “I am” by Tom Shadyak
A powerful documentary in which he and others- scientists, famous people like Desmond Tutu, answer that question... worth watching.

Thank You ... some people do not believe in "Iam" the reason ... a huge cause ... crammed within ...
