Just read this piece by sf writer and agnostic John Scalzi. While he refers mainly to atheism, his real point is that any movement of any kind is made up of people and thus, regardless of what it professes, will likely contain both good and bad people. Therefore, one cannot blame atheism or Christianity, or Islam, or Marxism, or whatever for the movement's problems. In the end, it is human nature that is the problem.

Challenge: try reading this substituting your faith, political affiliation, philosophy, or whatever for "atheism" and "atheist". It may make it clearer that what he is talking about is a universal human issue that he happens to have encountered in atheist circles, not an issue exclusive to atheism.

By the way, after hanging out briefly on a pantheist group on FB briefly, I can say that this applies to that group in spades. Some great people but some serious (to use Scalzi's term) sh*tcanoes as well.

It applies to Wondercafe2 users too.
