I am seeing results come in from the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and it's kind of interesting how our gymnasts are dominating. Basically, if you take out big gymnastics powers like the US and some of the Asian countries, we move to the top, it seems. Will be interesting to see if this shows up at all in our performance in LA 2028. Of course, unsurprisingly, our female swimmers are at it gain. I saw that Kylie Masse landed her 10th Commonwealth Games medal with a silver in the backstroke. Overall, we are second after the Aussies.

Summer McIntosh is skipping the Commonwealth Games to focus on the Pan Pacific Games in August. In the last CG in 2022, she had two golds and a silver. The Pan Pac haven't happened since 2018 when Summer was only 11 so she has never competed there before. That will likely show in our Commonwealth Games medal count since she is basically the world's top female swimmer individually and also anchors some of our relay teams.

Honestly, Mendalla, finishing second behind the Aussies's nothing to be ashamed of.

Canada’s proving we’re right there in the conversation.

Between gymnastics momentum and swimming stars like Masse and McIntosh, LA'll be a breakout Games for us.

If you had to pick, do you think Canada’s bigger medal haul in 2028 will come from gymnastics, swimming or maybe even breakdancing?
