I'd like to create a blog - both personal and professional in nature.

How did you choose the name for your blog?

I need to choose a good name for my blog. Any suggestions?

I keep thinking I should but never quite get around to it. I have lots of ideas that I could write but always seem to have them when I can't really take the time to write them.

I have 3.

The oldest is now 10 years old. It is a generalist blog--that I hardly ever post to any more. I called it Following Frodo because I see life as somewhat of a quest and because Lord of the Rings is my favourite book. http://followingfrodo.blogspot.ca

About 7 years ago I started another one to be a center for posting worship resources. Called it Worship Offerings because, well, that is what it is. http://worshipofferings.blogspot.ca

THe third is one I started upon arriving here in Grande Prairie. It is called Ministerial Mutterings and it is where I post my early sermon thoughts, newsletter pieces, and other "stuff" related to ministry. http://ministerialmuttering.blogspot.ca

it just happens to be the platform I started on, because it is the platform that (at the time) was most widely used by blogs I read and was very user-friendly. Blogger is part of the Google monolith.

Mutterings ... is that like the muttering of god considering the nurturing essence of spirits that are almost ethereal and thus the isolated bride who is 2 thinking her ithchii (B-itchy) to put herself in this position as laid out on parchment with no say?

Sort of like a deflated church ... flat out historical thing when you observe the corrupt passings ... most find this hard to see or invisible in due course ... this full fills the need for loss of knowledge ...

yes - that's a common blind spot -

I'm suggesting that the priorities of any Christian denomination ought to be mission, discipleship, and evangelism. Those priorities should be far, far ahead of those presented in the UCCanada list.

I don't have a blog, but wish you well. I do know people who utilize WordPress - it seems very user friendly - it is the platform our Presbytery uses for its website. Suggest you also take care in selecting the host - things related to churches are often target of hackers, as they sometimes suffer from poor security measures.

Thank you Carolla. Since the time I wrote my OP, I've checked out Wordpress and Blogger, as well as visiting Gord's Ministerial Mutterings.

While I like the look and the options of Wordpress more than those of Blogger, the latter seems the easiest to use, so I'm leaning on blogging with them.
