Well, I got another A. I think this is it as far as Educational Research goes. My current class is curriculum for adult learners, so I'm glad to have something a little more conventional. It's hard to believe how far I've come. After this class I only have 3 more and I should graduate in June.

91 years, 1000 women, what's that average out to? - RIP, Hef

That's relative. Compared to Hustler and Penthouse Playboy was very classy, even beautiful. There was no "pink" and there was always a high value placed on aesthetics. Of course some would consider any nudity degrading, but I don't. I had a subscription for a while. My wife wasn't too happy with...

    Advice for Children

I think on most of those there is value in both the "good" and the "bad" advice. There is value in working towards the future, and being mindful of the present. There is value in hard work and perseverance, and in being able to relax. Instead of saying the first set of advice is "bad", let's say...

    The Gender Unicorn

I think it's awesome that there is more awareness of the complexity of these issues than there used to be.

Why Not Choose to Die If you're

I think if there is nothing but suffering left, there's not much point in going on. I'll endure some bad for the sake of the good, but if it's all bad, then I'd call it done.

Why Not Choose to Die If you're

This is such a personal thing with so many different things to consider. I would probably try to ride out the bad days so long as I felt there were still some good days left. If the pain and suffering was constant, then I might seek to go ahead and die but only when I felt there wasn't any good...

    changes

Well, I was worried about this last class but I made it. I got a 96. The next one is sort of a continuation of it. I am supposed to conduct the action research project I developed in the last class, in this next one. Basically I'm going to give my daughter a civics test. There's more to it, but...

    Someone suggested a joke thread............................

(stolen from Reader's Digest) Never leave a pot of alphabet soup on the stove unattended. It could spell disaster.

I know I just keep popping in between classes but I've finished one and officially start another tomorrow. I got another A, so that's 6 for 6. The next class is on "action research" so it may be a little different. That worries me, but I'll just do my best to stay on top of it.

Gender roles in the church in the non-binary world

Considering what they go through, I'm betting they would be pretty certain.

    Defunding & Investigating Planned Parenthood

God Bless Planned Parenthood and God Bless legal abortion and abortion providers. First of all the idea that abortion is wrong is just some nonsense that the fundamentalists pulled out of their @$$. Nothing in the Bible backs that up. There have been herbal abortifacients throughout the world...

    The New Doctor (Who)

I'm looking forward to it. Yes, having the Master be Missy was definitely a trial run as well as establishing as canon that Gallifreyans can change gender. I haven't seen the last season yet, our cable package is too cheap to include BBCA, but I heard it was good and that Bill was a standout...

Gender roles in the church in the non-binary world

Being intersexed, transgender or gender non-conforming isn't "wrong behavior", it's being the person God made you as, even if you're very much in the minority. In fact the idea that it is "wrong" is suggesting that God is wrong, an attack on the inerrancy of God. That to me is a blasphemous...

Rejected by the Pastor. open letter on Face Book

I have the impression that the Methodist Church is a work in progress. I'm betting that in not too many years it'll be an affirming denomination, but it might be bumpy getting there.
