Ya I have a great example of me being tested -----my partner of 22 years ended up in a Home and passed away and I was told by her Family that they were selling the House and I had to get out ----I thought her Family liked me but I found out different when their Mother died -I had no clue as to what I was to do or where I was going to live ---they gave me 3 months ----to get out ----Lots of pressure here on me ----right -----so I stated Praying about it every day ---and asking God to show me what I was to do ---at first I was very stressed out but the more I prayed the more Peace that was being imparted to me and the more I knew I needed to Trust God in this situation -----one day My son called me who lived in a different province to see how I was doing -----I told him the situation ----and everything fell in place so quickly without any issues to hinder the process ---no striving --no anxiety felt ---everything came so easy and without issues -----My Son and his wife were so amazed at how just everything came together so quickly and went so smoothly ------all just fell into Place ---

This situation just made Christ's Faith grow deeper in me and strengthened my Trust and reliance on God to be there in our time of need ----

-My Son and his wife had to admit that a higher power had to be involved in the situation as everything came together so quickly and went so smoothly -----

I now live where my Son and His Family live able to enjoy my Great Grand Kids and go to their Hockey games ---etc ---Living a Healthy ---happy ---wonderful --peaceful ---prosperous life -----just Trusting God -----

Love my life -------

All Glory is God's ------

You certainly were tested, so glad things worked out for everyone!
I'm so sorry, you lost your partner.....did you talk about that here? I don't recall knowing that.

I think the loving comforting Presence is always available to all..
I became universalist somewhere in my UCCan days and that hasn't really changed. Part of it was just that my upbringing wasn't a "hellfire and brimstone" kind of Christianity and part was my own inclinations and experiences. I refer to the UCCan I grew up in as "tacitly universalist", that is they didn't formally preach a universalist Christianity per se, but there certainly wasn't much talk about hell, Satan, or punishment for anyone either. Maybe for Hitler-grade evil but even that was more people saying stuff than it being formally preached. Again, that's my recollection and maybe I misremember. Heaven and salvation were definitely more the discussion, though.

..did you talk about that here?
No I did not ---My partner was a born Again Holy Spirit indwelled Christian so I had much comfort and so did she knowing that she would be with Jesus and not in a place of torment ---her passing was very peaceful and serene ---She was a great Friend and Partner -----I miss her-Greatly -- but again ---I know where she is at --and I know she is at peace -----

Well we can think that for sure ----but is it Really ?????? that is the Question ?????

Scripture says otherwise I am afraid -----so ---we will only know when we pass on-----no one has come back to tells us the real Truth -----

Who to Believe ----Scripture or Ourselves ---???????????? -----

That is the real Question ???????? isn't it -------Food for thought -----

Well, yes it is, for me anyway, and I'm pretty if it's available to me, it's available to everyone.

And I don't need to worry about an imaginary afterlife, because all that really matters is here and now.

WEll there is the second section of Psalm 139:
Where can I go from your spirit?
Or where can I flee from your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, you are there;
if I make my bed in Sheol, you are there.
If I take the wings of the morning
and settle at the farthest limits of the sea,
even there your hand shall lead me,
and your right hand shall hold me fast.
If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me,
and night wraps itself around me,
even the darkness is not dark to you;
the night is as bright as the day,
for darkness is as light to you.

When one embraces a pan- or panentheist vision of God, then God truly is everywhere. That psalm expresses it quite well. God is not a remote, transcendent being looking down in that view, but is a presence around us. That said, I don't currently see a personal deity in that, but it is where I would tend to lean if I did.

I have to give you credit for sticking with us bunch of mostly heathens all this time. Your fellow rabid believers have all fallen by the wayside and quit, or forgot how to spell "wondercafe" and can't find us anymore. Either way, if this was "Last True Believer Standing", you'd go home with the grand prize.

It's not, so don't ask.

(Forgot how to spell wondercafe lol oh I feel bad for laughing, but it brought back memories. Not that I’m much better. My punctuation and paragraph formatting skills suck. My grammar, sometimes, also.)

It is nice that even though we’re like a herd of cats, there are some familiar people still here.

You are all right -----God is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent"

He is everywhere ----and He sees everything ---and He is all knowing --but humans are Born corrupt ---and we are separated from God ------

And this is according to scripture ----

Better read----------- Isaiah 59

Separation from God

But your wickedness has separated you from your God,
And your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear.

Nice Try GordW------- This Psalm is of David who is Righteous before God ------He is with God not separated from Him -----

The first verse actually tells you what this Psalm is about

Where can I go from your spirit?

God is everywhere as David is saying ----this Psalm is describing that you cannot escape God ---God is everywhere and sees all we do ----you can't Run from God -----you can't hide from God ---you can't keep a secret from God -----even in Hell you can't escape God

This Psalm is NOT SAYING------- that a loving comforting Presents (God )Is available to all ---

Now we don't have to believe the Scripture ---but you can't change what it says ------

God is the original jealous boyfriend/stalker. If you try to leave, he will find you. Your only choice is to stay, because he loves you. But never leave again if you know what's good for you.

And yet Jesus preferred to hang out with imperfect and marginalised people. He was often criticized by the Pharisees and scribes for doing so. Even his inner circle was flawed.... "It is not the healthy that need the doctor but the sick".....

Here's the problem I have with pantheism and panentheism. If God is everything or "in" everything, isn't this the same thing as God being nothing or "in" nothing?

Doesn't it just come down to a decision we make about how we want to see reality?

So what is your Point here ?????

Jesus did hang out with the Spiritually poor --so they could hear the Gospel of the New Covenant of Grace and have His Faith in them so they could choose to be saved after He shed His Blood --died and was resurrected -----

Many chose to reject Jesus ----then ------and it is the same today ----

We humans think that God should just Bow down to everyone who rejects and mocks Him and rebels against Him and His Word and come to our aid and comfort us and surround us with all His Goodness and Grace whenever WE need Him -------while we -----Sneer ---Laugh and Trash His Name and criticise His Word every day ------How Arrogant ---How Selfish and How evil minded is that ----REALLY -----

I call it Stinking Thinking ----can't give God the Time of day ----but expect God to be there when WE NEED HIM -----

Well God is Agape ---but ----He is also a God of Justice ----and people need to get wise to that ---

But then you have so many Wolves not Sheep standing in the Pulpits today that-- False Doctrine is the order of the Day -----so people in the pews are being fed Spiritual Garbage ---and expect God to cater to their every need -----
