Years ago, while employed for the summer at Dairy Queen, I could whip together a banana split in the blink of an eye.

The procedure would likely work for the virtual version:
  • Peel and cut banana in half.
  • Place in banana split dish.
  • Add four helpings of soft ice cream in a row, making sure to do the signature loop on the top.
  • Squirt chocolate and butterscotch sauce on the servings of ice cream at the ends of the dish.
  • Scoop pineapple and strawberry sauce onto the other two servings of ice cream.
  • Add a spoon.
There you have it! An authentic DQ banana split.

Yes, a DQ split is better than others (except homemade) :)

DQ ice cream portions were determined by weight. Some days there would be more air in the product than others, meaning the serving size would look larger. When the ice cream had less air, making it more dense, the portions looked smaller. Customers were never very happy with the explanation we provided if they asked about the size of their ice cream cones.

It was a problem for us with the banana splits especially, because each of the four servings was quite small to begin with.

When the boss wasn't around, we used to be more generous with the ice cream in the banana splits.

Your virtual banana splits are a good size. Bon appetit!

thank you! Second-attempt-in-the-bread-machine cake is iced with the LAST of the icing

Snoopy returns to that root beer float while Beth Anne is distracted with her cake.

It needs a little top-up of root beer and all will be well.
And the beagle claims LAST place again.

Oh God, root beer floats are my poison, especially now. Though my favorite pop for a float back in my misspent youth was Lime Crush. Orange Crush worked pretty well, too.

Orange Crush or Root Beer...though we would use whatever kind we had...Cranberry ginger ale is good too

Heavens to Betsy, no. She needs to focus on that.
(By the way, who is this Betsy person??)

If you're looking for more paperwork, BA, I can likely find some to fill your afternoon.....
