One thing is that they didn't sneak up out of nowhere. They spent years cultivating popular support through fact twisting propaganda, and launched a vigorous campaign to ensure that they influenced every aspect of culture.

Then Trump knows better than all folk that specialized in various fields ... an inflated awareness far beyond capability to understand much?

There's a strain on the greater soul ...

Beware of authority ... Lord Acton!

Trump even denies others know more about things out and about ... differing from his self centered condition!

Tis a route to isolationism of Maan ... except for the devil's cause why ... word flip! Redaction personified ...

Yeah yeah. Your usual smug response. Why don’t you start caring and commenting on things that matter instead of wasting your intelligence on being smug?
I have written serious responses in this thread. John, Steven and Northwind have written some very good ones. Read some of theirs and see how they construct an argument without throwing labels around. Stop thinking you're making a point by using a scary word. What you're actually doing is becoming the caricature of the "leftists" that PG13 and blackbelt want to argue against.

No. Not really. And I don't really care if I am.

Chris Hedges on Christian Fascism.

"They fuse the American iconography and language of American patriotism with the iconography and language of the Christian religion," Hedges said. "Trump has no ideology. The Christian Right rapidly filled the ideological vacuum." Hedges said Christian Right ideology was the "engine" that put controversial Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, who Hedges called "a corporation masquerading as a human being" in the Supreme Court.

Chris Hedges on Trump, failed democracy and the most dangerous forces in America

He's touring. I'm going to see him in a couple of months.

And there's the crux of the problem. You don't care if you're doing harm to the causes you support. As long as your reactions make you feel better, you don't seem to care that you help your opponents and create headaches for your allies.

And don't forget we're saying what we're saying because we're mean.

Isaiah says: "Here a little, there a little, line upon line, precept upon precept." This notices the incremental advance of inequity and the rejection of equity. Just as it notices the incremental move towards a reconfiguration of social reality. This not by proscription but by a freely adopted determination to the responsibility of citizenship in a democracy. This being necessary in light of the corporate capture of social agenda in service to the rise of power and the increase of profit. Wealth being considered a mark of honour and worth, as in Thomas Hobbes. Poverty being a mark of dishonour and lack of worth.

My first arrest followed my standing in the public square with a small scrap of paper, on which I had written the police state is coming. With each passing year this thesis is closer to verification in experience. The planet and its peoples are being divided by corporate powers seeking domination of all, in service to a minority elite comprised of successful predators.

The corporate media is playing the population in real time just as they did in Bradbury's fiction, "Fahrenheit 451."

And don't forget we're saying what we're saying because we're mean.
I know you're not really calling me mean but I just don't care to filter my thoughts. I've never been good at it, and I don't think it's important in the first place.

I'm not doing harm to the causes I support. You are doing harm to the causes I support by turning your focus of criticism on me. Spend your time on more important critique. Spend your time being better at me in supporting our common causes but wasting your time criticizing me is stupid.

Like the people refusing to bake cakes for gay couples?

just as wrong

Look, it's their "house" they don't need houseguests who want to support racist and bigoted policies that hurt them in their own house.

being thrown out of a place simply because you support the current president or have conservative views and the like , does NOT give anyone the right to throw them out , Maxine Waters should be ashamed of herself for making such comments. But I fear she dont care as long as she regains power at all costs .
