Remember when news reports were about events?
All you guys have is a bunch of wishful, probably baseless gossip to hang your hopes on.
You are like a bunch of vagrants who spent their last dollar on a lottery ticket and dreaming about how you are going to spend you millions tomorrow. And tomorrow keeps coming and you never win.
Wishing Trump was not the president doesn't make him not the president.
Wishing he's Russian doesn't make him a Russian.
Do you remember in the debates how Clinton told the world how many minutes the president would have to make a nuclear decision? Wouldn't that be top secret?

Trump's secret weapon is that everybody keeps calling him stupid. The clown hair works for him.
Trump literally confessed to obstruction of justice and undermined his own people who spent the day explaining the Comey firing when he was interviewed by Lester Holt. They can't keep him off Twitter. He has the impulse control and the attention span of a toddler.

This is freakin' hilarious. Trump is twisting in the wind and everything is falling down around him. And while he might shake up the administration 4 months in and tell everyone that was his plan all along, nobody but the 30-something percent of complete idiots who support him no matter what will buy it. Watch other Republicans start to jump ship. Chaffetz is resigning. There will be a story there before we're through.

Trump supporters supported an ignorant jerk who admires authoritarian dictators and has undisclosed ties to Russia's kleptocracy. And if Hillary had spent this many millions of government money on properties owned by the Clintons, there would be hell to pay. If Obama had golfed this much, there would have been hell to pay. The double standards are so obvious, only those who can't allow themselves to see them are this blind.

The alt-right swept up all the stupid people into a frenzy and convinced them that Trump was the guy. Trump convinced you all it would be easy, that he would "drain the swamp" and MAGA. Well he filled a lot of positions with Goldman Sachs executives, which is like draining a swamp and filling it with sewage. He doesn't understand that he doesn't get to act like the dictators he admires. He thinks he can call for a Muslim ban and then call it something else, and judges won't notice.

Donald Trump is a scandal of Donald Trump's making, and that's what makes this so fascinating to watch him fall. Watching someone that arrogant and yet that ignorant crash and burn is extremely satisfying, and restores some faith in the checks-and-balances in government and media. Which Graeme will destroy again later, but it's nice to believe in them for two minutes.

If Pam is "slightly" kinky, I don't want to know why she's that low on your scale.

This.

Of course, Cheryl/Carol likes to be choked, so when it comes to that show, you have a point.

I was under the impression that the choking was more fetish than kink.

It wasn't just stupid people...it was Republican Party loyalists who put party before country and were willfully blind to how bananas their party has become. It's close to stupidity but not the same. Now, they're turning too.

Anyone ever read either the Trumpgrets or Trump Regrets Twitter feeds? It's all the people slowly realizing they were duped, and regret their votes. It's (only) a little bit satisfying to know that people are waking up. Even though everyone else wishes that happened before last November.

Regrets range from stalling on the wall building to, appointing swamp dwellers, to screwing them out of health coverage...but they are unified in regretting their votes.

I would consider it more of a kink, as an activity that some people engage in during sex. Where I think of a fetish as something that is normally not sexual that arouses some people. Obviously there is a lot of overlap there.

According to the dossier, Trump has a pee fetish. Or kink. It's so hard to tell.

I suppose the Christian thing to do would be to forgive them and move on. That's one reason I'm happy I'm not a Christian.

Evangelicals and many "mainline" Christians have effectively reduced Christianity to anti-abortion, anti-gay and anti-Muslim. Nothing else really matters to them. They elected a mean-spirited, ignorant man to be mean-spirited, and they were too gullible to notice the ignorant.

I think it's just a human capacity (forgiveness) that Jesus recognized and encouraged... But that's getting off topic (although forgiveness applies here if we're talking about staying angry or not at reformed Trump supporters. I don't see how that'll help fix the damage.)

Trump to reporters, a few minutes ago:

"Walls work. Just ask Israel.":eek::LOL: Wow.

Call me cynical but I am getting to the point where nothing that comes of that mouth or keyboard shocks me anymore. Makes me headdesk or facepalm, maybe, but definitely doesn't shock me. The guy is a stupid, boorish, buffoon of a leader and the US, not to mention the rest of the world, would be better off without him.

It doesn't really shock me much. It amazes me, but not in a good way. And then all I can do is laugh, because there really is nothing else anyone watching this reality show playing out, can do. (Laughter really is good medicine for this).

How's it going to go down? Simply put, I don't think he'll be impeached unless the Democrats manage to win control of the House in 2018, and given how solid his base is I can't see 67 Senators anywhere in the near future being willing to convict and remove him. I think he's president until his term ends. I think it's very conceivable he could be re-elected in 2020. I think we're in for 4-8 years of chaos. As I said - his base is rock solid.

Unless, of course, as some have speculated could happen, he simply gets bored with the job and quits.

Some folk believe Chaos Theory to be HS!

Even if the great sign fails to occur on September 23 there is no denying Trump's ability to initiate calamity.

Which kind of points to our ability not to be fooled, at least by Trump's claims or qualifications or even ability to lead.

Is calamity akin to chaos?

Hi,

"The situation we face is not novel. Every age has experienced the onset of its decline. People of all generations have despaired of hope. Again and again, in the experience of the West, the question is raised in anguish: "Where is our God?" Many times the question is answered by the denial of God. Tyrants rise up to claim natural right to the exercise of power. Posing as benefactors, these begin the enforcement of ruthless order. For a short time it appears that chaos will be held at bay. Many are seduced by the tyrant's ability to impose order. Few among them notice that large numbers of human beings are regarded as expendable."

George

Is an age of decline like nemesis? Or just an old woman laid back in a lounge saying: "I told you so"? What a hag ga deis ...
