Where Do We Go From Here...?

I am who I am becoming...
Examining Western social reality closely reveals a material standard far exceeding legitimate human need. This at the high cost of devastated environments and the dissolution of human trust, happiness, peace and love. Can it be that we have sold our eternal soul for a momentary gratification?

There exists a minority which profits from our lack of knowledge. They face the prospect of losing property, profit, power and privilege if ever we come to a realization of truth. Greed and hunger for power direct this minority as they promote the new world order of material bliss. Thinking themselves to be enlightened they have fallen into folly.

Strong propaganda undermines the reality of love to ensure the emptiness of heart essential for the economy of production and consumption. "No laws but the laws of the powerful!" is the creed of these enlightened despots. If we continue to trust their deceitful manipulations of democracy, the power of their deep darkness will soon cover us all in sorrow and shame. It requires a strong resolution to remain deaf and blind to the grief that their quest for mastery brings into the world.

The problem is that we people have too long allowed others to decide our paths for us. They have held many attractive carrots before our noses and we have pulled their heavy carts down the road to doomsday. It is coming close to the time where we must turn away from their sugar coated lies to embrace the straight, narrow way of truth. Because we have delayed so long it is going to be a very costly undertaking. With all earnestness possible I declare that the alternative is a literal hell.

Today, as one dark day almost two thousand years ago, the question is put to the human family: Which will you prefer? The hard truth, which demands a radical transformation of personal and corporate values to guarantee the security of the human soul, or the dominant political rhetoric which promises a new world order but delivers only pollution, warfare and oppression of the human spirit?

One world government. One world religion. One world currency. One world army. One world micro-chipped populace ...

"In earlier times, it was easier to control a million people, literally, than physically to kill a million people” while “today it is infinitely easier to kill a million people than to control a million people.” - Zbigniew Brzezinski

@Pinga ... curious, do you truly believe that denial of the radical (extreme) transformation that is called for - not only by George - others as earnest and informed are declaring that the "business as usual" alternative will bring consequences of 'literal hell' to us all - is none of your concern?

Hi Pinga,

We inhabit a world of cause and effect. All evidence available to me indicates a continued and accelerating move to chaos. I would give anything to be proven wrong on this.

In extreme ends ... is there an exceptional thinking medium?

That would be denied by the other poles ... thus wonder what and who is right into the story ... propagandising myths ...

Is there a sense of lost truth in myths .. thus undercover or sublime ... partisan?

Something to dig for ...

In fact, the "general" arc of the human population has been in an upward direction - lower maternal and infant mortality, the eradication of some of the most deadly of diseases, a well established social safety net in much of the world.

Agreed regarding many of the positive changes. I am also concerned about the impacts of climate change, which are due to our choices.

@GeoFee what particular aspects are your focus, when you speak regarding accelerated and continuing move to chaos?

Hi...

I am aware of our stellar achievements. I lament their imminent demise through our persistence in folly.

My primary concern is with cultivation of disciplined critical inquiry and advocacy of freely chosen preference for responsibility to the whole, over preference serving the advantage of any particular at the expense of the whole.

Babel Tower is central to Bob Marley's cosmology. He speaks of the Babylon System as a vampire which sucks human blood to thrive. Bob does not propose reform. He proposes Exodus - a movement of the people. Out of the dominating structures and into the experience of transformation; by which all things are made new.

Here is some background thinking informing my insight and commitment:

"The pressing human task today is not to endure further misapplications of the power system, but to detach ourselves from it, and cultivate our subjective resources as never before. If this seems an all but impossible demand, with the odds heavily in favor of the power system and against personality, one need only remember how absurd such a withdrawal, such a rejection, such a challenge seemed to most intelligent Romans before Christianity presented an alternative."

"Though no immediate and complete escape from the ongoing power system is possible, least of all through mass violence, the changes that will restore autonomy and initiative to the human person all lie within the province of each individual soul, once it is roused. Nothing could be more damaging to the myth of the machine, and to the dehumanized social order it has brought into existence, than a steady withdrawal of interest, a slowing down of tempo, a stoppage of senseless routines and mindless acts." Mumford/1970

"The hour of decision has come, and it can only come once. Faith calls us to leave this world, this age, and its works. If we let old age and death do the job of separating us from them, we merely submit to our lives' fading away, to the decline of our powers and the objectification of fate, we shall have thrown away our chances. We shall have simply demonstrated that we are objects in the hands of Chronos, instead of having chosen the moment of our departure, of our break with the past, that is, instead of having given to time and our world a meaningful center, through a decision announcing that the moment has come. The Kairos, the event is here." Ellul/1973

"However, the oppressed, who have adapted to the structure of domination in which they are immersed, and have become resigned to it, are inhibited from waging the struggle for freedom so long as they feel incapable of running the risks it requires. Moreover, their struggle for freedom threatens not only the oppressor, but also their own oppressed comrades who are fearful of still greater repression. When they discover within themselves the yearning to be free, they perceive that this yearning can be transformed into reality only when the same yearning is aroused in their comrades. But while dominated by the fear of freedom they refuse to appeal to others, or to listen to the appeals of others, or even to the appeals of their own conscience. They prefer gregariousness to authentic comradeship; they prefer the security of conformity with their state of unfreedom to the creative communion produced by freedom and even the very pursuit of freedom. Freire/1992

One in three Canadians live with chronic disease, three out of five hospitalizations are a result of chronic diseases, and two thirds of healthcare costs in Canada are a direct result of chronic diseases. The increasing prevalence of chronic disease puts an ever increasing burden on the healthcare system.

Yes, we are living longer.
People actually live long enough to get alzheimers. They don't die from heart attacks.
Would you like to go back to dying earlier?

Chronic disease rates are increasing faster among Canadians aged 35 - 64 years than Canadians aged 65 years and over.
More children are being affected by chronic diseases previously only seen in adults.

Monk, what type of chronic diseases are you referring to? Where are your stats from?
I'm curious what impact the increases in diagnosis regarding mental health / anxiety disorders have on stats.

I'm tired of it too. Yet some of the sources of "information" media you follow are so vitriolic and merciless .... It's dark! Just what George's OP talks about. Yet you seem to see the opposite. And I can't understand how.

You may not realize it but I think you are helping promote the kind of fear that could lead to the things you suggest. Self fulfilling prophecy, it becomes. Eg. Alex Jones ain't spreading love and goodwill. He's spreading anger and paranoia and unreasonable behaviour - it's like War of the Worlds (radio show, look it up) although he never admits any of it is hoax - he has some legit criticisms of the mainstream media perhaps - but then he goes over the top and it's wildly amped up with outright lies and hype - and it only gives governments and powers that be a reason to crack down on misinformation on the internet and be more controlling of free expression. He's having fun trying to destroy the credibility of MSM altogether. It is not helpful to us little people. Really. If he came out and said he's an entertainer who regrets at least some of the impact his act has had, like Glenn Beck did, I might have more respect for him.

Yup,
When told you're going to hell by an avid Christian ... the question is who's bullying who under the rules of love and flaming out?

Then some believe the complex solution is naturally simple ... straightforward reaction? Then some deny chemistry and alchemii!

I suffer complex reactions and need a vent to drive my machine ... thus black missals like steam jets in the dark form ...

The British representative of eternity stated this was dark humour or a fete noire ... with some application of satires ... religious facetiae?

Then in escapism did the devil die laughing to escape a living human love prone to error without a thinking devil as an icon of potential wisdom?

Then investigating the depths of human beliefs about erring, without learning from the err, I am left in fits of bloody dark humour! St Teresa de Avila said something of a parallel when she said her flash view of intelligence ... left her a desire for eternal pain ... to learn more from mistaken things?

I won't directly quote her as I'm declared to insane to know such stuff ... I heard this from church authority ... as they determined I am purely misunderstood by many ... my lack of knowing or theirs regarding classic literature (beyond the acceptable book to authority)? All the other books have been exposed to burning at past periods ... where does the smoke of a book go ... into alternate Eire?

5% of alzheimer's patients have early onset alzheimers. (before age 65 as young as 40 and 50 years).
