And, really, I think this may be the Marvel movie to beat next year. Brie Larson as a classic cosmic-level hero and she looks great in the suit. Though Captain Marvel will be in Avengers 4, too.

She's a Skrull. ;)

Coming out next year
Shakespeare seems 2 b a subgenre of movies that I always seem 2 enjoy. Something aboot the uplifting of the imagination and possibility...

I just saw that, too. Kenneth Branagh, having played many of Shakespeare's great roles, is now playing the man himself. Could be fun. Dame Judy Dench is in it, too.

What movie is likely to get me in a theater next year?

Avengers?

Captain Marvel?

Nope.

Godzilla vs. Ghidorah, the greatest smackdown in movie history and they are at it again.

And I will see this over the holidays. I'm a bit ridiculous about Harry Potter and spin-offs:

Next for me will be Aquaman. Not sure whether I'll be seeing it in English or in Korean.

Last night my son Robert went to see the recently remastered Schindler's list. Oddly he doesn't remember seeing it when it was first released. Which is fair. I expect that he slept through most of it since he was less than a year old at the time.

He tried to drag me along with him.

I told him it was a very profound movie and while I am glad I saw it once I don't know that I could stomach a second viewing. First time alone was hard enough.

Chatting afterwards he struggled with what to say about it. He finally settled on, "It was very hard to watch."

I'm sure that the reality was much, much worse. Still, kudos to Spielberg for making it and letting us feel dirty for having watched it. It is one of several blackmarks against humanity and it needs more sunlight if we are going to avoid repeating such travesties.

Awaiting the arrival of Aquaman (while I don't think Momoa was the best choice for the character) we in NL are pretty proud of the guy. He still shows up to film Frontier here and parts of Aquaman were filmed here on our beautiful rock. I think we are growing on one another.

"Hard to watch ..."

I recall the same comment about the Passion of deLite of Christ ... as a teacher seeing people choosing brute ways ... yet many can't see the brutish side of biblical myths ... they passover like a Blip ...

Can we learn? Very slowly it appears as the great weal turns ...

Then the depth to the storied form of Silence of the Lamb! Mental disruption by excess desires ... supremacy of unspeakable terms ...

Next for me will be Aquaman.

Awaiting the arrival of Aquaman

I read an early, non-spoiler review on io9. They seemed fairly happy with it, though not uncritically so, and the tone James Wan took so this could be another DCEU success a la Wonder Woman. I've seen even less of the DCEU (as in none) than the MCU (where I've seen maybe 5 of the movies), though, so I'm not sure about this one. And, to be honest, aside from Batman, I'm not a big DC fan.

I'm a ginormous fan of DC's Legends of Tomorrow

What if there is no tomorrow for mortal humans ... only the wisp of essence!

Picture Parker & Hart's Sourcer in the dungeon with that vapour rising from the tub (Tunn 've essence)!

This looks very up my aisle

Have to rewatch this one again. It's very resonant and part of my spiritualty

Muchly Singular,
