A few hints for secret santa-and maybe virtual secret santa-if someone sets that one up.

So favourite colour, tea or coffee drinker, and anything else you want to add.

I like purple. I'm a tea gal who avoids coffee. No pets here at the moment. I like to quilt, to canoe, to cross country ski. Unicorns have caught my eye this year as they are everywhere with young students at the moment.

It's all in the marketing. Tell 'em it's a diamond, with some assembly required.
Just for the record, I am an admirer of coffee, chocolate (especially dark), and non-fiction (though a good Erle Stanley Gardner is always welcome).

I like blues, purples and greens. Red is nice too. Living in a fifth wheel has given me an appreciation for simple things, good dark roast coffee, strong black tea and chocolate. I love to knit and enjoy singing. I love exploring new places and sitting by the campfire.

I also love new threads started by @Tabitha

I like tea of all sorts, although rooibos is not a huge fav, and seems to "backlog" at my house. Organic dark roast coffee is nice. Love many things home-made, hand-made. Consumable is best for me, although I must confess that my track record with mugs/cups and my porcelain tile floor make them largely a "long consumable".... Love really dark chocolate, but not so much milk or white. I'm a green sorta person, celebrating re-using, re-purposing, repairing, re-gifting, thrift store magic/finds.

Now, when it comes to fantasy, i.e. Virtual Secret Santa, shall we start another thread?

I like tea, not coffee. I'm happy to take Bette's rooibos :)
Oolong isn't lasting too long here anymore either as Chemguy recently really got into it. I like tea blends with nuts and/or Christmas type spices, not a tea snob at all I will happily have chocolate or cranberry in my tea, most blends are good, although I tend to avoid anything medicinal if it's not commonly in food. Any sweet is good, although I prefer milk chocolate to dark.
Teals are a favourite and my house has lots of browns.
Christmas decor I like the traditional deep red, silver & gold.
Gardening I'm on the cusp of zone 3/4 and while I only do edibles Chemguy will tend to flowers if they are easy.
I like puzzles - jigsaw and nonagrams/picross.

Allergies - feathers, wool, scented products. Food generally isn't an issue - no fish/shrimp.

Tabitha - give me time to think.
What do I really want - besides world peace, a stable economy, extendedd medicare, a hearing aid, a new wardrobe, and the health and energy I had about 15 or 20 years ago.
Now to be a bit realistic -
favourite colours are mainly primary - red, yellow, blue - plus green - soft greens and greys.
Black or light tan, solid-colour socks.
Warm mittens (my coat is red, my favourite jacket (old and well worn) is dark aqua greeen, my newer jacket (which I hate and someone from the church outreach might enjoy this winter, is hering-bone grey).
No pets at the moment but I wouldn't turn away a playful kitten or a young well--mannered Lab retriever.
Coffee - we have a keurig - I know - I know it's wasteful but we generally just have one cup o ccoffee in the morning and we generally use bio-degradeable pods, but a nice little variety pack of various flavors might be nice for special occasions.
edibles - dried fruits, (or a fruit basket if you happen to be in the neighbourhood). Nuts, cheeses, jams, candies, crackeers, maple syrup and other maple products, anything unique to your area or culture (does anybody want me to send dulse and a can of kippers?)
Anything hand-made
books - historic fiction, Canada Reads type of books, that are reviewed on CBC radio, progressive theology (I was a fan of Marcus Borg but I've read many of his books). New or used. I actually like reading books that have the previous owners notes in the margins.
No science fiction, or light romances. But I occasionally enjoy a suspense novel.
Jigsaw Puzzles, Saduko, and I would like a few more people to challange me to a game of Scrabble on Faceboook (I already play against a few from the Cafe).
and I actually like surprises! Give me something that you 've enjoyed and I'm quite sure I will like it too.

Sorry, focussed on other items but I will post here, so as others respond, i get alerted and therefore reminded that I haven't done.

I have a new home.
That new home has 4 bathrooms! my goodness. I used to have 1.
It has a big deck.

I love to read mysteries, and appreciate a used book.
I have a coffee maker that uses whole bean which must be basic (ie, not flavoured )
I like hot chocolate.
I am not someone who likes smelly things

I like jigsaw puzzles,
I drink wine (red preferably, or rose)
I like interesting appetizer items.

I like cheese.

I wish my parents had similar lists! You're easy to shop for! :)

I thought apathy was silent ... supporting a'pathetics!

Parallel to the essence of atheists ... questionable!

Thus one may inquire piece fully ... in part!

I like cats, owls, bright strong colours and herbal teas ( except roiboos) or decaf coffee. Dark chocolate. Smelly candles, but not lavender or roses, more like citrus, grapefruit, apple, peach. I have too many scarfs that I don’t wear.
I like gardening, so wouldn’t mind a few of your true and tested self grown gourd seeds.
I like photography but I am not good at it. ( the course I signed up for just got postponed to March). I could read the book I have on the shelf.....
I like the Grinch. I like self made things that look good but don’t really have a purpose except for collecting dust ( as long as they fit into my display bookshelf). I can’t stop myself from picking up rocks on a beach.

look at that folks. Tea is winning out over coffee  Seriously thanks for the posts. It will make it easier.

Add to my list (especially for people who find shopping or mailing parcels difficult):

– gift certificates (favourite restaurants: Montanas, Boston.Pizza, East-Side Mario, etc)

- charitable donations (Parkinsons is an interest of mine); Gifts With Vision catalogue just arrived with my Observer - lots of gifts for under $35 [suggested $20 + whatever you save on postage] - I'm particularly interested in helping indigenous peoples and/or homeless or near-homeless people in Canada.

- paper back books can often fit intoo an envelop small enough to be mailed letter-rate.
or sent through Amazon.

Christmas will be upon us sooner than we think. I actually picked up an ornament for my niece and her husband-well it is a set of 2 ornaments-a white dress and a dark suit both with 2018 on them to commemorate their wedding this year.

...Christmas is always upon me earlier than I think...it's one of the things I hate about it...

Tis like that shadowing you when you are short of Daiz ... the total sum of Dai is diminishing with time ... time being difficult to grasp! Tis a strange dimension ... even alien ... without daiz ... tis dark allayl ... the other kind of light when it is absent ... is anything observed as science? Some doubles gather then in reflection ... doppelgangers? Pared down fruid of the day ... freudian masterpieces ... small thoughts inclusive ... Kohl?
