Are Thanksgiving plans coming together for you.

Not sure what day yet or who all will be here. Decided to go with pumpkin pie instead of cheesecake, plus a cake as we will be celebrating my oldest son's birthday as well.
Hey, wow, thanks for asking. To tell you the truth, I haven't really given it much thought this year. Hmm... I just checked Copilot and I see that it's on 2410.14. I'm so happy you mentioned it! Now I have time to plan something. I have a few English classes on that day, so for sure I'll be telling my students about it. Maybe I'll hit Outback Steakhouse. There's one fairly close to me.

Yes! I love pumpkin pie! It's a traditional favorite and always what we had at home. With lots of creamy-dreamy whipped cream on top of it. And Mom always used the real whipped cream too. Happy birthday to your son

We're having a simple dinner for five or six on Monday. Ham, scalloped potatoes no cow dairy, beets, brussels, salad, two pies plus ice cream for dessert.

St. Hubert.
It's good, it's good. I went there a couple of times when I used to live in Canada. Really, though, I always preferred Swiss Chalet. It was all about the sauce. What did you have at St H?

For my Dinner this year, I decided on a whim to go to Outback after work. I thought it might have a good chicken dinner. I've had chicken there in the past. But this time round there was no chicken on the menu.

So, I set a brand spanking new tradition for myself of Brown Bread with Butter, Cream of Mushroom Soup, Garlic Steak, Baked Potato with Cheese and Butter, Coffee, Chocolate Brownies. Yum yum yum

I find Swiss Chalet chicken and sauce sooooo salty.
Okay. Meanwhile, though, actually, the sauce is something from back in Canada that I really sometimes crave. Korea's got lots of amazing chicken restaurants, both Korean and American, but there's nothing here like the taste of Swiss Chalet

I probably notice it more because I use minimal salt now.

Salts are deadly to some but in a small portion of the population there is a benefit ... I won't elaborate as it is Jae's thread and he loves simple fishing ... all under the bridge ... part of the RO Syndrome!

We also use very little salt.

My brother-in-law picks up the salt shaker before he even tastes food at my table.
Had a step-grandfather who used to the same thing. I found it kinda' strange, but I was just a kid so I never really said anything about it. There are some things in my mind that've just gotta' have salt. Popcorn comes immediately to mind. And corn on the cob
