I don't think Kerry Washington was too bad, but definitely not a fave. I agree with the shoe comment, bad choice for that dress.

It is noticeable that, for many of them, one must have a pretty perfect figure.
It reminds me of a shopping trip in my 30s. Needed a new dress for a function. Headed into the dressing room with what until then would have been my absolute go-to dress - a flippy little cherry red mini-dress, sleeveless. And I would have found a pair of just-darling heels to go with it. Unfortunately for the imaginary hot outfit, in the dressing room, I caught just the tiniest hint of upper arm softness, that characteristic chicken wattle appearance of a no-longer-young woman's upper arm, that can't be delayed forever, no matter how hard you try to exercise it out. I emerged grimly from the store an hour later with a (summer weight) outfit that covered me from neck to elbow to lower calf.
I notice the absence of colour in recent years. Lots of black, white, grey. Also noticed it in pics of our College's annual fundraising Gala, so I guess it's the trend.

Slightly off topic but if you ever want to see cleavage go to a Ren Faire. I've been once and faux period dresses that are very low cut are very popular there. I have no idea if there a period of the Renaissance, or some other point of history, where women really did dress like that but apparently the idea is there regardless of reality.

Have things changed in 11 years or am I just paying less attention to celebrity news?
