Another perspective on the Lex Fridman interview


It's interesting that the MAGA candidate mentions the people coming from asylums in other countries. There's good reason to believe he doesn't know the difference between insane asylums and political asylum.
 
Probably only used 45 to 60 minutes for his lies, maybe even less. I did not watch the debate but I thought in the 2020 debate that there was a fair amount of nonsense in between his lies.

A lot of nonsense was heard from each of Biden and Trump

Honestly, I can’t see anything going on with his eye. I find him just his normal lying self. The question about thinking of one’s own death was quite interesting. The answer I would say was typical for an older conservative person with a low level of English skills. Which we already know that he has a very limited choice of vocabulary.
 
Is it free speech when the time is filled with irresponsible matter, just so much BS that is unbelievably received deep in the number spaces?

Should the other side try that as an alternate? It seems to work for the bully ... so the power ramps up ... said by fringe folk and outliers to be corrupt ... hard to escape from ... like gravity ... is anti gravity an abstract sense? Thus it goes ...

As an English teacher, I must agree that he does. And... so what that he does?

Harris isn't exactly known for having a large vocabulary or eloquence of speech, either. She's much more known for using laughter to escape answering questions she doesn't want to address.

Someone who does have high skills in English is Obama. I always advise my students to listen to his speeches

I agree on the eye. David has pointed that out before. I think that's just how his eye works.

I've seen a couple interview clips with him lately where he's quite different in each. One where he looks like he's taken something to calm him down and one with Hannity where he looks pumped up on caffeine or something. The "pumped up" was different from his typical high energy speeches.

I guess it remains to be seen what this all means.
 
Critiques of Cheney's foreign policy have been happening long before Donald Trump even became a political issue.

As I wrote back in 2023,
It's just astonishing to me that someone like Cheney, whose direct policy initiatives have legitimately led to the slaughter of millions of people in Libya, Iraq, and Syria, can still pretend to hold some type of moral high ground. We are talking about a woman who, instead of opposing the bombing of Libya, pushed then-President Barack Obama to do even more. As a result, Libya is now hell on earth and the world's largest modern-day slave market.

The results in Syria were just as bad, with a pointless civil war supported by the United States killing well over half a million people, and not once has Cheney ever shown any regret. Do you know what you call someone who causes such suffering and death, yet shows no remorse? You call them a sociopath.

Kamala Harris and Liz Cheney make very, very interesting partners. They get rich when America's sons and daughters go off to die. They get rich when America loses wars instead of winning wars, and they get rich when America gets weaker in the world. We want American strength, American security, and most importantly, peace.

Having previously favored a second term for Joe Biden, Putin said Russia now wants US Vice President Kamala Harris to win in November because she’d been endorsed by the incumbent Democrat.

“Biden was our favorite but he dropped out of the race,” Putin said in response to a question at the Eastern Economic Forum’s plenary session in Russia’s Vladivostok on Thursday. “But he recommended that all of his supporters support Harris, so we will as well.”

You should read the Wikipedia article on 'RedState,' the source of these words (which, somehow, you neglect to mention in your post.) I'm sure you would find it rather fascinating. I did.
