Sometimes people with sociopathic tendencies use their credentials to hook people into their power schemes.

Ah fissure expeditions of the sour type ... no proper suites? The overture needs adornment ... rye booty ... after that the story becomes sacred ... sacral, or bloody awful ... plasma-like as lighter? To be sour avoid the alkaloids ...

there are people using social media for good, who aren’t concerned about mainstream credentials, they are flying in the face of them. Sometimes that’s good and necessary.
Yep, for all its flaws, social media is doing some good, too. My main concern is (a) the focus of Meta and some of the others is more on getting "engagement" and putting ads in front of eyeballs than on supporting the good and (b) the general lack of serious moderation, esp. on X, partially due to the whole "engagement" issue. Controversy gets engagement, both pro and anti, which gets ads in front of eyeballs. So I agree that social media, like any tech, can have a positive impact. Too bad its negative side seems to be dominating due to the priorities of the owners.

The AD mini steroid function is wild ... over stimulation of moderate senses?

You can see this in the paradigm curve where either slope parts the middle allowing eruptions of secular essence ... and energy ... blast phe mies ... Mizahs!

What's a Zah? That' zionized head man ... ripper in space ... leaving wakes, waves and other distraught icons ... worries and bothers!

The greater essence queries and passes it on to the next wave of creation ... diggers? Thus jostled ... at Kings Landing on the Big River in NB ... Jostline House ... where "e" is substituted for "g" the darker letter ... gammas thingy!

You do not wish that old woman to blow ...

Yes. The focus on clicks and likes - the popularity contest. It’s also kind of immature. It’s Jr high school mentality.

Bullying is like RAMSET in business! It must be well staged ... then there is the backstage groups! All in the shadows of the drapery ...

Charles Stross talking aboot the certain techbros beliefs and the dangers he thinks they pose

Plus if you want to see into their heads, Diana Pasulka got to be with them for a period of time and got to write a book aboot it called American Cosmic. Silicon Valley is a deeply weird place

Plus look at all of Cory Doctoraw's essays on what he calls Ens**ttification of FB of Amazon of Google and so forth

I just saw a vid by a Louis Rossman, Right to Repair advocate and small business owner (they fix ipads and stuff) who in paying Netflix discovered that the service was worse than if he had Pirated it

But anyway, I keep forgetting, all Hail Trudeau, the Saviour of Canada during the Pandemic and Protector against those Dastardly Truckers who ate babies and played Motorhead!

May his Reign continue
And blessings continue upon Him
Amen

What if all polity is wrong as it leads folk astray from the supporting of the greater good ... and falling in with those that support unbelievable individual wealth ... in secessionists terms those that receive it without any effort! Keep it in the family as nepotism???? Thus the entire system is damned as not gifted with syncopathic ... a sickness in syncopation ... when we swing upon the stars???

I pray not to go there due to their over esteem ... high hubris? Then the comedown is nemesis ... subtle???? Self-deprecation ... ducky ... a pathologist on a TV investigative series ... pathological psychology is something else ... investigation of dead matter ... mind you some dysfunctional processes ...

Thus along with the right side the left cheek containing the alternate thingy ... badly de posed ... if folk do not know imagine what you could claim ... as axiom!

All from badly arranged axions ... brae in's tuff ... Dural? Look that word up ... it involves vales ... blind washes ... no wata' ... lacking floe ... antecedent?

Head scratching's ... pica head ... pica's are very small measures of worry ...

Corey Doctoraw's latest in his blog

"While some services have fallen harder and/or faster, they're all falling. When a whole cohort of services all turn sour in the same way, at the same time, it's obvious that something is happening systemically."

"
Think of Youtube's decay. Over the past year, Google has:

  • Dramatically increased the cost of ad-free Youtube subscriptions;

  • Dramatically increased the number of ads shown to non-subscribers;
  • Dramatically decreased the amount of money paid to Youtube creators;
  • Added aggressive anti-adblock;"

Also why it is happening

WTF?

You go on about polarizing then you post s**t like this?

Our PM has been elected in a federal election, twice, minority government with NDP currently. Not his fault that he had to try and govern during a global pandemic.

I think it is foolish and short-sighted to equate a state with your particular view about its current leader.

Delightful/Inanna, I sometimes find your contributions less than helpful. I think you might have a different view if you had lived in Ottawa during the truckers' 'occupation'.

My slip is showing?

Five pages of new posts by you and Luce? Whose slip is showing? I might be done.

You are reacting in a very bizarre way to my post

Yes.

I do wish Trudeau blessings

I would offer a hug, but you are sooooo far away...

Be safe and be at Peace, Bette

and played Motorhead!
I seriously hope you're not suggesting that listening to Motorhead makes one dastardly. Lemmy is frowning down from metalhead heaven if so.

My daughter's partner/boyfriend is a biotech engineer working in robotics. Tech is making a huge difference in people's lives from medical tech to mobility devices. People who used to be stuck at home because of mobility issues are now driving their electric vehicles to stores, coffee shops, and other places.

The tech billionaires are the ones who seem self centered and indifferent to the wellness of others.
Those technologies are elusive to most of the people who need them. I’m lucky to have a scooter but the environment is still hostile to my existence. Many are lucky to get a standard wheelchair funded. It reminds me about a case years ago whereby someone needed new dentures and the welfare ministry bought him a blender instead. On the other hand, lots of people could do more with really simple solutions like ramps, curb cuts, door openers and landlords and employers willing to put in a few simple tweaks. Oh ya, and transportation companies like airlines that make gazillions of dollars need to be more accommodating to their disabled customers and passengers. Sometimes a little goes a long way but people are not even willing to do the minimum. If a federal minister herself hadn’t gone public with her first hand experience perhaps those concerns would still be totally ignored instead of getting more exposure lately. These types of things happen to people daily.
