I regret you feel this way about Mendalla. He works hard at helping this forum be a place for invigorating discussions.

As a former admin and also as a mod I know full well the challenges he faces. I do not discount that, or the fact that he is quite bright and articulate but....He is too easily provoked and reactionary. (this comng from me of all people!) As admin I bit my tongue and rather than confront I chose to outsmart everyone. It's his style that I am having an issue with.

A long time ago, we admins committed to only mod when it was urgent, leaving decisions like bans to the mods (barring certain situations like banned users returning or removing spam). Nice avatar.
