I don't understand what the purpose is to exempting heating oil and not other energy sources - if we ignore trying to get support from certain groups.
Heating is essential once it gets cold. There's not really a lot of options. We have considered solar panels, but it doesn't make sense right now, our roof is nearing the time to reshingle but it's still in good shape. Even with that, it might go to some space hearers/electric blankets. Main heating will still be gas between furnace and water heater. I don't really see what taxing that on top of of the fees on the gas bill is supposed to achieve.
 
Things like this show us the difference between the theory ("the planet is burning up!" CARBON TAX! governments agree to targets)

And the Practical (Ireland thinking aboot murdering thousands of heads of cattle to reach climate targets, Holland gov't causing farmers to strike because of their climate targets and so forth)
 
It is beyond all theory of understanding ... that being denied by mortals on the basis of like it or not you are your own worst friend ... thus we battle innately due to deficiencies! Holes in protocol?

We need more laws and regulations due to lack of think ...
 
Let's face it, this carbon tax exemption has dick all to do with anything other than Trudeau buying votes in the region that benefits (rural Atlantic). If this was seriously about helping people in tough economic times, there would be some kind of rebate for all homeowners using oil or gas heating based on income. He has never been serious about anything other than getting elected (which is endemic in politics these days, but seems particularly egregious in the current government).
 
I wonder how the Cdn feds would deal with an India Farmer situation or like what happened in Holland?

Yea, it will put about $250/year into our pockets...whoopee doo.....how about rent controls retroactively and put $12,000 back in people's pockets a year?

That's not Trudeau, though. Housing is actually a provincial responsibility so talk to Dougie. Oh right, he's in the hip pocket of so many developers, even he can't keep track of them anymore. And developers tend to not like rent control.
 
Remember the rural RV'ngs and their creep into federal affairs from provincial opportunities ... the chimera grows as a concept since monsters are said to be unreal! Thus abstract? Said to be dark and mysterious operations ... Higgs participle? ust participant in taking advantage of all that have been stupefied because of shallow reading ...
