Greetings. It is a sunny day and a bit cool. I bought a Fitbit the other day to be more accountable. I also wanted the heart monitoring because I'm on and have gotten meds that can damage the heart. According to the device my heart is fine. I know it's not a medical device. I see it as general monitoring. I've gone out for a walk two mornings in a row. Apparently it's possible to connect to other Fitbit friends for accountability. I'm game if anyone is out there interested.

This was my reward for getting off my butt this morning

Wow, that's lovely. Closest I can think of here is someplace like Georgian Bay.

Don't use any personal devices like Fitbit myself. If I track my outdoor walking and biking, I just use my phone. Google Maps alone does a decent job and I have Samsung's Health app as another option since I pack a Galaxy. I do think about it, though, for the same reason you cite: Being able to get some health metrics like heart rate.

The correct reason. I actually visited the site and he was promo-ing a book. Not sure how he expected to get an audience by being rude and combative, though.

I thought it had a great opportunity for trolling for a troll under the bridge!

Are these chimera ... I was told there was no such thing in the real world ... thus possible a flighty thought ... weird alba Ðross ...

The photo reminds me of the view of the harbour my daughter had when she lived in Nanaimo with log booms to the left though there were houses below her apartment building.

I like the get up and move reminders.

Good morning! For watchful eyes, spamblasters, and Fitbits, for photos of lovely places, for those who take them, we give thanks. For these and other conversations, we gather in Spirit round the Coffee Cart, for chat and support over virtual hot beverages and baked goodies. All are welcome, come on in and join the fun!

May set me off my schedule, and I have not gotten back on. Need to start wearing my fitbit again. If I do, @Northwind i would be good at being in a group with you, though I doubt that i could keep up to you!

Life keeps throw things at us to test our resiliency.
My family member is more injured than was originally identified, and so will be off probably until christmas. Thankful, though, still , as it could have been much worse.
My sister's transition to the nursing home (rehab) hasn't been great, and to top it off they have a COVID outbreak, and yup, she now has covid. Not good for someone who has been as ill as her, including intubation just a few months ago. Encouraging her to see if she can get paxlovid.

I know how important it is to walk, to keep balance in so many ways, so charging up my fitbit today.

I've been a sloth for awhile. You won't have a problem. :)

My fitbit broke so now I track my steps on my phone which I try to keep in a pocket most of the day. I got stressed by the sleep (or lack of) that the fitbit recorded, so I took it off at night. And it recorded many steps when I was stirring cookie batter. So, some days, it made me look like a real athlete!

Good morning! For Fitbits, functional or not; for family members caught up in Covid outbreaks and involved in accidents; for all the other topics that arise, we gather in the Room around the Coffee Cart to discuss, chat, sort it out, give and receive support, and enjoy virtual hot beverages. All are welcome, all is ready. Come and join in!

You make me want to move @Northwind ! Beautiful pictures. Today is my grandson's 2nd birthday. He's the one I babysit and I suspect may be on the spectrum. He doesn't talk at all yet, but is very smart about remembering things. My Sudbury family is joining us for the birthday party, and the MIchigan family will too, so --- I'll see all five grandsons today! What could be better?
