Sadly, TV and movie star Matthew Perry, best known as Chandler Bing on Friends, passed away at 54. Besides Friends, Perry appeared in the TV series The West Wing and in The Whole Nine Yards and its sequel among other comic film roles.


And interesting sidelight is that Perry went to school with PM Justin Trudeau and was the son of PM Pierre Trudeau's press secretary Suzanne Morrison (his stepfather was the well-known Canadian journalist Keith Morrison). In a 2017 interview, Perry even admitted to having beaten up Justin in school , which led to some to back and forth ribbing between the two.

I was not a huge Friends fan, but I did like Chandler and thought Perry was probably the best actor of the lot. And apparently so did the industry, nominating him three times for Emmy Awards, once as Chandler and twice for his role in The West Wing.
 
Five individuals have been arrested amid a drug investigation into the tragic passing of Matthew Perry. The arrests include 2 doctors, Matthew Perry’s assistant and a drug supply source known as “The Ketamine Queen” who all took advantage of the actor to sell him ketamine.

It’s saddening to hear about the circumstances surrounding Matthew Perry’s passing. The news of these arrests highlights the tragic reality of how vulnerable people can be exploited. Matthew brought so much joy to many. It’s heartbreaking to see how his struggles were taken advantage of by those who should've been there to support him.
