Wow - did you see last night's episode? For the first time ever in Masterchef history - one of the home chefs presented to the judges a dish that they did not cook. The home chef who did it - I think Tyler was his name - was so surprised yet humble afterward. It was a really good episode.

Nice to see Luca and Alexander again too - and to learn of their after-show adventures. I hope Luca really succeeds with his recipe book - catering company - and restaurant. As for Alexander - he's so young and talented - the sky's the limit.

Next week there might be a double-elimination. That should be exciting.

I don't seek the show out, but sometimes I do watch it. I caught it yesterday as it was on after Under the Dome. The chef who made the mistake handled it in a very classy way I thought. I also thought it was nice though that the judges didn't accuse him of doing it purposely, or just leave it up to viewer's speculation, they made it clear that it appeared to be an honest mistake and not malicious or purposeful cheating.

Yes - it was very well handled by everyone.

i got to see a bit of a teaser for the show and w o w -- a show totally perfect for Canada :3 final showdowns, tense, action-packed...cooking :3

rather have 1,000 of these shows than any one dismal shoot-shoot bang-bang police procedural (davinci's inquest being one of the exceptions)

The first season of Masterchef Canada ended a short while ago. It was as good - if not better - than the American version.
