How was church today?

Christians in great clusters hate bad news, so bring an sonorous is well accepted to keep the natural hostility of the human animal out of the picture ... the Muses residing somewhere else out there and oppressed!

Our speaker delivered a message on thanks and graciousness as a given that has been corrupted if you listen to the Christians that would like to hang, throttle, have illicit relations (secs) with one political leader or the other because of the lacking medium. The medium also appears to be non existent as Amos words about justice, mercy and compassion. The speaker closed with a question about Hamas ... which I say related to net 'n Yahoos eliminating one stage of justice form his agenda to bring vast power of tyranny back into the world ... a means to an end? We seem to be looking that right in the face ... but for the glory of given grace of naivete we seen to have avoided the perception of the arrival of ignorance of the cause effect theory!

Then in the news of nous ... it has been said that disrespect in the general populace has risen because of lost social skills ... DE socialization in a word affiliated with the DEE! In transliteration to another culture that's GEE, or CEE as a larger vision ... all in the alien linguistics. Some folk speak strange tongues and know not the understanding thereof ... so the enigma goes!

Amanda Alley, preaching on the Philippians passage for Sunday, delivered a strong sermon on the importance of letting go to make room for embracing the life Jesus offers. Deep River Community Church. Her message prompted me to write my first reflection in close to two months on the challenges in letting go.

But should one retain soul in releasing a body deep into the power syndrome and bullying as it flies?

Is there a god of flies ... Lower 'd an Allah Gourd ... as shadow in the sans ... maybe just a Yeqol ... Ja col in other traditions ... arranging and orders differ ... bloody awesome!

The church I attend missed celebrating its 125th anniversary during Covid fears and shut downs. So yesterday we celebrated our 127th. It was really nice…just a warm, happy feeling throughout. My husband, daughter and two grandsons attended too which made it extra special for me. My husband attends mass weekly but rarely comes to church with me. My 14 year old lit the Christ candle and the five year old seemed enthralled by the hymn book. Great lunch afterwards with many hands helping. Rough week for our minister who did the funeral for the three murdered children, so a happy time seemed good for her soul at this point.

Whew. Taking an active 5 year old boy to church certainly challenges both my patience and my energy. It was fun though to experience church through his eyes. He loved it and didn't want to go home. Grant it...he played hide and seek with the minister's grand daughter, and played the piano rather loudly after Sunday School, made gingerbread manger scenes, and got a book as a Christmas present --- all on his first ever day of Sunday School. What's not to love?

Celebrating Epiphany
And Christmas Carols
(We 3 Kings of COURSE)

So nice seeing people; it has been so long, a year ;3

Not often do I get to be a door greeter. My Christmas hat and Christmas green lacy camisole helps with the mood

The magi have been moved today; the last 3 stragglers, finally having asked for directions, are now with the Light Bearer

The creche is still up under the altar

And the CHRISTMAS TREE IS STILL UP!!!

and a sweetie left me a gift

and a dear friend lost her cat; i am so glad i got to know Pumpkin...a very nice elderly orange tabby

it is nice seeing people so well and bright

The Light Keeps Going On and On
World Without End
Amen

Wow

What an experience

Ty, God, for being such a trickster, full of laughter

During the kids reading today a very young boy read from Corinthians and I got to hear this very young boy say the Latin version of f*** twice :3

A very sunny day, with the sun shining from.the South through the ceiling to.floor window with the HUGE red glass cross hanging in front

Still bitterly cold
Rain is coming

Life is good

Amen

Life is painful ... compared to the heavenly state when there's nothing to bother with in the immediate vicinity! Be prepared it could approach as anon ... that's coming ...

Some say anon is nothing, similar to ectoplasm, in essence!

Too much went on a church today to write about it all. So here's a bit: It was emotional, for sure...A couple of deaths in the last two weeks, one family of one of the deceased accepting love and hugs from all of us, and one person going for a masectomy this week, and another person finding out whether she needs chemo or not. Plus one person fainting during the service and a retired nurse to the rescue. Our minister did a meaningful worship service that touched the grieving family. (And she didn't know they'd be there!) Felt like I'd been through a wringer washer by the end of it all. But...somehow also felt the warmth and love of community.

It's so nice when congregations support each other. Sadly this kind of scenario is becoming more common as church members age.

You are so right @paradox3. Both of our church members were over 90. And a long time family friend who attended the church I used to go to died yesterday, also over 90. These are all faithful, devoted and hard-working church people who will be missed. I feel like it's just the beginning, because there are other 90 year olds who go to our church.

Wow how lovely that your church community is so supportive Nancy. It's tough there is so much happening.

I watched on YouTube. There was a retired minister doing pulpit supply as our minister has a couple weeks off. I don't know why he rubbed me the wrong way. Our minister is about 40 and a lively, energetic woman who has a great background working with street people. The man who filled in today looked to be about 80 and seemed more like a Baptist or similar pastor. It felt like stepping back in time watching the service today.

The speaker spoke in passing of cracks and disruptions that amount to dissociative personality disorders supporting anti socialism ...

It was presented as ennui, so most would not take offense in their proud autonomous states. Kind of irrational like exaggerated wills ... few cared or noted the message behind the presentation! Thus some depth perception is of assistance ... people tend to fear the deeper pools ... look what Ness did to the isles ...

Annual meeting Sunday. I put together the Annual Report but already discovered one error I made. If we learn from mistakes, I will soon be a most learned individual!

This does go on with some ... with others no so easy! They cannot deal with multitudes of heavenly folly ... some fort etude is prerequisite ...

This AM in my case should be exceptionally interesting in what is revealed for obtuse observation ... than many refuse to observe ... un reckoned!

Thus Isle prepared as Merlin to indeterminate Magi ... like w'ater chimera ... all whetted from the Dunkan ...
