Collaborative worship service

Deep River Community Church, Calvin UC, and Wesley UC shared in a Zoom worship service for February 21. Our theme was Church of the Future. It was quite a learning experience that will be helpful for our congregational Zoom service and meeting next Sunday. The congregation wil vote on a call to a clergy couple in the US.

They seem to be exactly what the congregation needs. Tech skills. Highly committed to community service. Progressive Christianity - a little more Conservative than the centre of the congregation but open to a broad range of views. Courageous. (Practice inclusivity in an extremely socially conservative, racist community). They and their children eagerly anticipate their move to Deep River.

To your comment about collaborative worship - it was interesting to see that half a dozen of our local UCCan ministers held a collaborative evening service by zoom on Ash Wednesday. I didn't attend, so I can't comment on how it went, but it was good to see the collaboration.
