I say --this Quote above is worth repeating ------

This is a perfect example of someone coming along and sewing weeds. Not just the weeds, but the weed sewers are going to be cast in the fire.

One of the main takeaways of the Dead Sea scrolls was that it proved that the content of scripture was painstakingly preserved over the centuries.

I say ----And the sad part of it is the many people sowing the weeds are Ministers who say they follow Jesus and who have access to many who sit in the pews of their Church Buildings and are sending themselves and their Flock straight to eternal damnation and don't care and laugh and chuckle about it ----that is very --very sad in my view ------I think they are called False Prophets ----

GeoFee ---you said ----Now I am thinking of Danial cast into the fiery furnace and coming out untouched by the flames.

I say --better check again that piece of scripture there GeoFee ---it was not Daniel that went through the fire ------it was Daniel's 3 friends ---Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego --and better tell people why they were not burned ------they trusted God to do as He said -it is called believing the Living word --and it is called Putting your Faith in action -----and trusting that God would protect them -----and it is also called standing strong in the Lord even unto death ----no bowing down to False prophets ----

For anyone interested to read this it is Daniel 3 --since no scripture was identified above ----

Daniel 3 New International Version (NIV)

The Image of Gold and the Blazing Furnace

Thanks for the correction. Like those three I am not frightened by the threat of fire.

Well GeoFee you should be scared ---Talk is cheap there GeoFee -I don't think you are that confident that you would walk into a furnace of fire and be confident that you would walk out unscaved ------like these 3 ------we are all good at the Talk ---but not so good at the Walk --

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego -were totally dependant on God and were steadfast in their Faith and trusted in what God said was alive and active and would work------both feet were planted in their faith and trust in what God promised ----

What is it the Living Word says -GeoFee -----if your name is not in the The Book Of Life you cannot enter --are you that sure there GeoFee that your name is there ------what a surprise if anyone of us found out were were not in the book -----

Revelation 20:11-15 n (ESV)

Judgment Before the Great White Throne

read all for yourselves ----I am just posting verse 15------

15 And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

I say ----- you can't be sure GeoFee till the Book is open and God verifies your name is in it ---remember --people who think they are safe and who have done everything right just may get a big Surprise --Pharisees thought they were safe -----Jesus told them in no uncertain terms they were not safe ----so good luck to all of us when we bow before God and the Books are open ---

Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land? 4 Didn’t it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn’t the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing?
I think the moral of the story is not that they were punished because they kept some of the profit for themselves which they were perfectly entitled to do ... but because they both in turn lied about giving more than they actually did ... in this 'metaphor' .. to the Holy Spirit no less!

As the story goes ... according to Jesus, “all sins and blasphemes will be forgiven for the sons of men, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit" ... this is most (metaphorically) deadly ... kind of like 'believing' your own lies?

Prepare for spontaneity in ignition ... happens with people leaning towards desires to burn the alternate ... hedonism?

Daniel was a fire tender ... those cooking the primal soup!

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego
Socialists or capitalists?
Although Daniel was apparently the first to resist the king’s food and drink, Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego are soon shown to have the same mind-set ... and the three brave Hebrews taking a stand against the king of Babylon, refusing to bow to an idol ...what's that all about?

I say ----And the sad part of it is the many people sowing the weeds are Ministers who say they follow Jesus and who have access to many who sit in the pews of their Church Buildings and are sending themselves and their Flock straight to eternal damnation and don't care and laugh and chuckle about it ----that is very --very sad in my view ------I think they are called False Prophets ----
Perhaps you could you save yourself by crucifying them one and all.

Ritafee ---you said --Perhaps you could you save yourself by crucifying them one and all.

I say ---LOL ----Well -just maybe you should take your own advice and make sure you are crucified and saved and your name is written in the Book of Life ----or at least hope so like I do -----and tell others to do the same ----Oh ! but wait ------just maybe your not interested in saving your soul and others --if so your not alone -----Satan has duped many ----just saying ==

I like that indigenous people lived well without cars, televisions and supermarkets. Till we settlers came and overturned their social structures. Thank goodness that there is a revival of ancient ways, which offers hope for the planet and its peoples.

“The Indigenous Soul is a part of Nature; not strictly a thing of people only, but belongs to all plants, animals, stars, weather, and places. It knows how to be itself by living indigenously according to its own nature.” – Martín Prechtel

Indigenous is neither a culture nor a people. It’s a way. The indigenous way is the embodied ancient memory of how to be fully human, and it’s encoded in your soul, no matter who your ancestors are. Hidden deep and dormant within your indigenous soul is your identity and your life’s purpose, longing for you to remember them and put them into action.

Yet, they had "transportation", "entertainment" and "markets".

I think that the trajectory of humanity must include the "best of" a bunch of different systems.

I think indigenous patterns of “transportation”, “entertainment” and “markets” were in harmony with nature. Our patterns seem to be destructive of nature.

Perfect love casts out all fear. Should it be my calling to be cast into any fire I would not be afraid (maybe a bit afraid outwardly). The insight of many spiritual traditions have made me sure that the image of God cannot be destroyed by fire. All that falls short of God’s expectations will be burned away. While on earth I am being sanctified by the presence of God’s Spirit working in me. With the apostle Paul I am well aware that I have not yet reached the goal.

I suspect there is a basic difference between you and I. You appear to understand the Bible as the Word of God, with a correct interpretation of the Bible as the way of salvation. I disagree. For me the Spirit revealed by God in the person of Jesus is my guide along the way of life. The Spirit is not outside me. It is inside me. As it is written:

And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.”

They drive trucks like the rest of us. Before that they rode horses, only because horses were introduced by Europeans. Before that they walked and dragged heavy things around because they had not imagined wheels and axles. They died young, starved, had enemies and wars.

so romantic.

Indigenous peoples lived a common life which lasted thousands of generations. We came to their homelands determined to overcome this natural life and advance the progress of an artificial life. The notion of progress, from the natural to the artificial, has been in play for just over 500 years. That progress has brought us to the brink of destruction. All with the blessing of certain Christian denominations. Yours?

My hope has always been that we use the language of cooperation rather than the language of competition. We are one human being seeking well being. That unity has been lost by the ideology of competition which divides human being into winners (heaven) and losers (hell).
