Brittany Slayes - Wow! A Canadian who needs to be better known at home

Brittany Slayes (real name Hayes) is a native of BC and still based in Vancouver. For over 15 years, she has fronted the Canadian power metal band Unleash The Archers, with their latest album coming out just last week. She is also one of the best damn female metal singers in the business at this point in her career, and proved it with this performance last fall. She began working with Dutch multitalented musical wizard Arjen Lucassen a few years ago in his Star One project, but this is from a new DVD/Blu-Ray of his other project, Ayreon. Brittany's powerful voice is just perfection here, and she's backed by two of the best backup singers she could have asked for, Marcela Bovio and Irene Jansen, both regulars in Lucassen's projects. And the backup band is amazing, too.
