Hello yourself.

I have found myself blogging on my facebook, but, not on wondercafe.
That's odd to me, as I truly believe in this site and the power of the community.
If you're anything like myself you probably recognize that Facebook and WonderCafe2 are two separate and often disparate entities even though they actually share distinct personalities.
If I had to weigh in on my participation in either forum I would say that, in general, I am much more prone to critical thought than over at Facebook where I am much more prone to simply be a smart ass. even if I am permitted to indulge in the fantasy that I am a critical thinking smart-ass.
If I had to evaluate my time in the pools of thought that represent both WonderCafe2 and Facebook I would say that still waters run deep. When the water gets choppy in either place it is probably due to a lot of flapping in relatively shallow water. My experience of Facebook is that it tends to run shallow and the biggest times I find myself in trouble on Facebook have been when I have said, "wait a minute that remark is ignorant/racist/xenophobic/contributing to stereotype" or something similar.
Just recently I pointed to two contradicting comments, said I threw down with one and was labelled nit-picky. Then there were some logical fallacies liberally sprinkled in and I find myself asking why continue a conversation with someone clearly not ready to wade into deep water. Of course, since it is facebook my tendency to smart assery will likely win out and I'll return fire.
Anyway all of that simply to say that is that and this is this. It really is up to you where you want to blog and you don't have to apologize to us if your choice is elsewhere.

I have taken it apart a bit, and my awareness is that though most comments and explorations are good and the explorations are wonderful, that, there are some posters that would not, and I do not have the energy or time to deal with those personalities at this time.
While true I find such creatures way too common on facebook. Of course the ignore function does get in your face types literally out of your face.
Apart from that I think WonderCafe2 is generally supportive and most folk actually tend to not get into the faces of those with whom they might clash. We have disagreements here certainly and not always meeting the standard of maturity, that said there is generally a level of respect. I think anyone critical of you blogging about your journey through Cancer treatment would find themselves swiftly the objects of displeasure.

So...I will bring those blogs to here when I am feeling better, and maybe lay them down in the same day order as I am doing them on facebook.
And when you feel ready to do so some of us will read them and appreciate them for what they are. Others won't. Which is pretty much every thread on Wondercafe2 in a nutshell.

For now, though, I will only bring the occasional posts to this site.
And if that is all you ever decide to offer we will be thankful that you shared that much. Or only some will be thankful and others not so much.
Again, if that isn't a description of the typical WonderCafe2 thread I don't know what is.
