Views some people have of Joe Biden...
• He's "Hidin Biden"
• Has issues with his health
Is right wing authoritarian
• Is a racist
• Sexually assaulted a woman
• Doesn't like the nuclear football
• Is already past average US male life expectancy
• Is tough on crime
• Encouraged the black prison population to double
• Is pro science
Is pro war
• Stutters
• Is pro death penalty
• Is going to step aside for his VP
• Survived making comments that would have destroyed the life of someone with less power
• Is antiblack
Has a potential VP who is a cop

So, that's what some people think. What say you? Do you agree with these opinions (I realize many here may not)? If you don't agree, why do you feel some people perceive him in such a way?

Kamela being VP is proof of kayfabe at work
If more people could look at all us debates in that way, of all the mudslinging and sturm n drang...its is politics. Not Truth. It is part of the Game. Get elected. Get your side elected. So all those insults Obama and Hillary slung at each other during the presidential race, kayfabe. All those insults the AiC did to his opponents, kayfabe. And so on

Kamala doesnt mean her comments of Biden being racist and sexist. Right? So where does thst leave us?

(I do wish Wokists would actually go after and suceed in dealing with people with real power in USA as opposed to trying to go after and suceeding with people with little or no power, which is what is happening as this becomes institutionalized...)

It is sad when the choice in an election is between Tweedle-dee and Tweedle-dum. I would really love to see a serious independent or third party ticket get traction in the US this year but I don't see it happening. Kanye has largely crashed and burned and I have yet to see any third parties get attention.

It’s a two party system. Let’s hope that next election , when trump is either gone or finishing his second term and Biden is either gone or 81 that we get two younger more vital more acceptable candidates

Colour me puzzled. These are supposed to be the most qualified people to govern that an ostensibly first world country, once considered a superpower, can drum up. Given that this is what the system has produced thus far, I am curious as to what you think will change in order to produce "more acceptable" candidates.

Wishful thinking in my part. I agree. How is it possible in a country of 300 million people these are the two vying for the presidency

hoping that in four years something better happens.

Again, and I'm not trying to be argumentative, that "hope" sounds a lot like "thoughts and prayers". Something is going to have to force a change, and I'm not sure what that might be.

Despite their claims to exceptionalism (and I'd say of all countries of the world, Germany and Japan might be better able to claim that title), America has evolved into the country of "good enough" and "we can put a patch on that". Their very food is a metaphor for their culture: bland, missing the vitality of what it imitates (cheese is a good example), and doctored up with high fructose corn syrup.

Joe Biden...

- lied about marching in the civil rights movement

- lied about being arrested trying to visit Nelson Mandela

- said "our culture is not imported from some African nation."

- said "poor kids are just as bright as white kids"

- said he "doesn't want his kids to grow up in a racial jungle"

- gave a eulogy at the funeral of segregationist, Strom Thurmond

- said "you ain't black" if you're black and you don't vote for him

- supported the racist war on drugs; he authored the 1994 crime bill which disproportionately targeted black people for mass incarceration

- is corrupt and in bed with Wall Street and billionaires

- has a super PAC that is organized by healthcare lobbyists, weapons makers, finance

- supports cuts to social security

- opposes public healthcare for all, despite it being a less costly option than his proposal, and says he would veto it even if it was passed in the Senate

- supports profiteering pharmaceutical companies

- played a central role in the student debt crisis

- has "no empathy" for the financial struggles of young people

- supported the bankruptcy bill, which made sure that student loans could not qualify for bankruptcy; it decimated bankruptcy protection for millions, all for the benefit of banks

- voted to repeal Glass-Steagall, which helped lead to the 2008 crash

- supports obscene, ecocidal militarism

- enthusiastically backed the Iraq War, which killed 1million+ people

- said "I actually like [psychotic Iraq War architect] Dick Cheney"

- gave a medal to Iraq war criminal, George W Bush

- groveled to Saudi Arabia, and was part of an administration that sold them $115billion of weapons and helped them wage a genocidal war on Yemen

- has consistently supported NATO expansion, needlessly provoking Russia and helping push us towards today's new Cold War

- supported neo-Nazis in Ukraine

- supports far-right coups in Latin America

- called persecuted journalist and publisher of war crimes, Julian Assange, a 'high tech terrorist'

- uses foreign 'aid' as a tool of imperialism

- thinks Kim Jong Un is the leader of South Korea

- is pro-fracking

- has been given a D- for his climate change record from Greenpeace (they give him a B+ for his future plans, but based on his record, who would trust him?)

- supports unethical free trade agreements like NAFTA, that devastated US manufacturing, (and the environment), resulting in job losses, lower wages etc. And he called NAFTA a 'success', even after it had done all of that

- voted to let states overturn Roe v. Wade

- inappropriately touches women and children, and has been accused of sexual assault/rape.

- said "I don’t think that a woman has the sole right to say what should happen to her body."

- said "I do not view abortion as a choice and a right."

- said "I'm conservative on most issues"

- supported a ban on HIV+ immigrants

- supported limits on welfare for migrants and proposed deploying troops against them

- helped deport 2.5 million people

- railed against ‘Illegals,’ and called for 700-mile border fence

- pushed Ronald Reagan to ramp up incarceration

- put kids in cages

- supports the Patriot Act and thinks it hasn't gone far enough

- pressured other countries not to give asylum to whistleblower, Ed Snowden

- is one of the most Israel-friendly politicians of his generation, because he sees it as an important base to keep US battleships, (i.e. it is an important base from which to maintain US domination of resources in the region). Said "Were there not an Israel, the US would have to invent an Israel to protect our interests in the region."

- supported 1996 anti-gay marriage law

- agreed with Sarah Palin in 2007, in opposing gay marriage

- is a dreadful public speaker and is showing signs of cognitive decline.

- keeps forgetting Obama's name

- has a long history of appeasing the right

- helped election of a Republican in a midwest battleground

- said it was safe for people to go and vote for him, during the Covid pandemic

- called for raves to be banned and their promoters to be arrested

Watch this.

Since becoming the nominee, he has:

- hired Larry Summers

- said he supports the unelected US puppet, Juan Guaidó, in Venezuela

- tweeted imperialist nonsense at Cuba, and said that he supports the continuation of sanctions

- denounced BDS, saying it "lets Palestinians off the hook for their choices". No Palestinian ever chose to live under military occupation. This is anti-Palestinian racism.

- declined to call for an unqualified lifting of Iran sanctions

- said he will continue US policy in Syria, which involved sending $billions of weapons to al Qaeda-aligned groups

- been more of a supporter of the neo-fascist takeover of Venezuela than Trump

- compared Trump to socialist leaders?!?!

- said Trump is the first racist president(?!)

- shown more signs of mental decline

- ordered removal of Israel occupation reference from election campaign

I feel satisfied

As far as real changes that affect normal people, the coming Biden presidency doesn't offer many things to be especially hopeful about.

But there was one item on the Democratic Party's platform this election season that especially conscious people sometimes point to which I absolutely could respect as a good reason to vote for Biden.

It reads as follows:

"Democrats will end support for the Saudi-led war in Yemen and help bring the war to an end. This war is responsible for the world’s worst humanitarian crisis, and it amplifies threats to the region and to our interests. Democrats believe that the United States should support diplomatic efforts—not block them."
Biden campaigned on ending the war. He should therefore be pushed on that issue constantly ...

Yemen - probably worse than even the most paranoid and far-fetched theory about the evil things powerful elites might be doing behind veils of government secrecy.

And they’re doing it right out in the open.

Untold hundreds of thousands already dead, with millions displaced and suffering due to blockades, disease, and military violence.

All this death and suffering is entirely man-made, and it is entirely the fault of the US-centralized power alliance ...

The US, UK, France, Australia, and Canada.

I’ve been tripping harder and harder the last few days on how insane and immoral it is that we’re not talking about that constantly.

"Joe Biden Said He's Against the Yemen War. He Needs To End It on Day One.", Sarah Lazare of In These Times argues that Biden is fully capable of ending the war in Yemen immediately upon taking office, and due to his role in the Obama administration when the war began, he has a special responsibility to do so.

The butchery in Yemen should be ended. Immediately.

Guess it will become the active thread in Politics now, eh.
Russiagate will magically morph into Chinagate.

And of course the only winners of this nonsense will be the spies and cold warriors who are driving it all from behind the scenes.chinagate.pngTucker Carlson will become the new Rachel Maddow.

I'm quite happy to see Biden win the office.
Doesn't take much to make you happy ... cheers to a president who will serve as an empty vessel for whatever the US war machine wants to pour into him. Let the mass murdering begin anew ... EH Man?
