This thread is to mention a few of your favourite things (like favourite colour, tea or coffee, favourite halloween candy, music you like). It can be used for secret santa, virtual secret santa or just to share with the community

I love lavender, turquoise and red.

Fabric and paper. Pens and writing materials.

Coffee and tea. I always think milk or creamy flavoured coffee or tea are just wyrd.

Critters.

Music, pretty well everything but country, but largely, my hippie looks after that.

My preference for color is blue or grey; hot beverage of choice is coffee. The odd herbal tea is nice, too. Anything involving chocolate is good.
Readings tends to non fiction, esp. social sciences and religical things. Trying to work more novels into the mix, but old habits are hard to break.
Pens always come in handy. Also enjoy doing crossword puzzles.

I like knitting, singing in choir and music. I love walking my dog and having the cat on my lap. We enjoying "camping" in our fifth wheel, and hope to be more nomadic in a couple of years. I enjoy good black tea, and am not crazy about the flavoured teas. I love a good cup of coffee, again, not so much the flavoured versions. Blues, purples, and red tend to be the colours in my life. Blue has always been a favourite. I discovered that I can enjoy reading while knitting by listening to audiobooks.

favorite colour red
like to read - sleezy murder mysteries and trial -nothing to expand my mind
hearts
politics
I like my coffee plain=Maxwell house or Tim's pods

Colours - the blue-green family, teals and turquoises.
Tea, not coffee. I prefer actual tea to the herbal stuff, but like all colours black, green, white and rooibos. I like the non-hot spices, cinnamon, chai, pumpkin spice, had some excellent white teas with nuts that I was surprised by just how good they are. Non-flavoured are good too. I find the fruity-sweet are not so great - like strawberry, mango, etc. Apple or coconut tend to be good though when combined with other things.
I enjoy puzzle type things. Lately I've been into nonograms/picross on my phone. Would be fun to have some hard-challenging on paper where I can make notations that no electronic version allows.
If someone wants to share some interesting tomatoes seeds or something, I'd be up for trying something different! I am in Edmonton though, so the growing season is shorter than someplace like S. Ontario.

To avoid - scented products, stuff with fish & crustaceans (I'm not so bad where I need to worry about the really processed stuff, like marshmallows) and spicy-hot foods.

Ah yes, scented stuff. That's something to avoid for me, along with anything that has mineral oil or lanolin on the ingredients list.

I know. I didn't think I could knit with wool. It seems that the good quality wool is fine. :) Apparently something happens to the lanolin when the wool is processed. Some wool does irritate me.

Yeah, that's something for me too. No fur, feathers, wool, I would guess lanolin too never really tried a specific exposure to it.

I prefer a cool colour spectrum (blue, purple, green, silver) and my husband prefers warm (red, orange, yellow, copper) which is fun for decorating the house. I won out on Christmas decorations because I came into the relationship with a lot of blue/white snowflake stuff.

I read a lot of children's books because I lead Children's Time in my church and a lot of young adult books because I like to stay current on what my niece (14) and nephew (13) are reading. I like to read fiction books (and see films) that show me a slice of a life different from my own.

I drink lots of tea (decaf varieties only on doctors' orders) and love all the fancy baking that goes hand-in-hand with Christmas. I can't imagine a better evening than sitting by the Christmas tree in front of a snow-covered window... bundled up in a quilt and some fluffy socks sipping tea and eating buttery shortbread cookies and maple fudge.

The lanolin is extracted to make moisturizing creams for varied purpose ... a bit on the head is the right dab to do yah in ... Brilcreme?

We're in the middle of a three-day snowfall warning in my neck of the woods. Except for the Christmas tree, I'm hoping to make this image somewhat of a reality this weekend. Maybe gingersnaps instead of shortbread... mmmmmmmm

We don't have a fireplace. :( I will join you in a similar image.

Edit: I see it was a Christmas tree, not a fireplace. It will be Netflix instead of either a fireplace or tree.

So many great ideas coming out here.

I am a bit like Inannawhimsey as I heartily like surprises.
Will ponder more....

Like my youngest son, I am tactile. I can take forever to find things as how it feels to my skin is essential.
I am a snackaholic.
I love my coffee, but, am interested in learning more about tea.
i am notoriously online and appreciate gadgets. (cutest thing i have is a yoda USB stick)

Hmmm let’s see.

I am a knitter. I’ve been doing it for a few years now so I wouldn’t say I’m a learner...but I’m still learning. I tend towards cooler colours too, purple, blues, silver etc. but I also like deep reds (not a lot of orange, more to the burgundy side).

I like to read. Generally I tend to historical fiction and fantasy but I’m willing to try pretty much anything. Well, I guess thriller and suspense type things aren’t my favourite.

I enjoy cooking and trying new things. I do bake a bit but cooking is definitely more where I’m more comfortable.
