To explain (it’s all in the plentiful threads about fascism and so on...guess you missed it and I was talking to thin air.) Some of you may not know anything about the “label” IDW, but you have been exposed to plenty of their views and videos. One poster ( you might want to reach out to see if they are ok and not further down that rabbit hole...I’m not. I “broke up” - as a friend - with them too, couldn’t tolerate their views) spent a good year spamming this place with alt right crap, and trying to get everyone to alter their perspectives while convincing people that the poor alt-right is a victim because they’re being called on their veiled pseudoscience bigotry and attacks on non white non cisgender folks, immigrants and women. They were very good at it. It tainted this place. That “crowd” has tainted minds and politics generally. I am not tolerant of those ‘ideas’. Just like I’m repelled by far right evangelical theology. I can smell it from a mile away now and I’m not financially supporting the influencers of that with my “clicks and views” - even if they are throwing in a few non-controversial ideas - (which is a perfectly reasonable choice.) That’s just bait - that’s how they appear “normal” - and I resent being told to consider it knowing full well what “pole” it’s coming from and who is benefitting - I have done enough educating myself to know not to, because I sensed a shift. I was not imagining it. Then I observed it happening. It took time and effort, it’s not because i’m smarter. And there is plenty of evidence (becoming mainstream knowledge now so you might want to get caught up) that people who take that bait get more and more tolerant of, and get pulled down the rabbit hole of, tolerating much worse far right propaganda. Be careful.
