Winds gusting up to 91 kmph throughout the night. The house has withstood far greater sustained winds than that.

Woke this moring to orange skies and a strong sun. Still gusty, which makes for fun driving on narrow winding roads along the coast.

This morning we break fast (manner of speaking) with Holy Communion and we will finish our Easter Tridumm with help from John Chrysostom and, as far as I am concerned, the greatest Easter Sermon yet written.

As heavy as Friday was I hope today is liberating. That those released from theur bonds will turn to assisting their neighbours get free themselves.

May this first day of the week be light and life to you and may you and yours rejoice as the new kingdom to come shatters once more the old oppressors.

John Chrysostom????? Common light is good as collected darkly from buried icons of wisdom ... a humble thing as compared to mortal powers blustering away ...

May resemble an Aaron Eire ... Sacred thing few understand ... sort of like Blues in darker communities that I do share with ...

Being on the fringe is like sharing time with Robert Service and other powers of the unseen ... under the roof fiddling with midnight S'N ... something alternate to warm to ... Magee? Tis a title few are entitled to understand ...

Does provide shadow for Shelter to the rest of us nocturnal types ... don't knock the type ... dig it? Tis adept of wisdom out there ...

The foolishness of God has overturned the wisdom of the world. Thanks be to God!
Tis subtle ... rite ... fickle fires of blind passions ... the subjects can't se it coming ... so be prepared ... sentient like the Magdalena tower ... well head stack?

Chrysostom was a hit.

It took them some time living into the Sermon.

Apparently they have not heard that Easter in really not that sombre an event.

Hi,

Though it has been a deathly week, Sunday morning offered us the bright light of Christ’s presence in and through us. My talk was only about six minutes. This small measure of time was well received and appreciated. Thanks be to God, who only is good. May that goodness fill us, each and all, till we overflow. Liberating a stream of healing water in our dry and weary land.

George

p.s. During the announcements I came forward. Looking very solemn I told the folk that I was completely discouraged and would not be able to participate. The room went dead quiet. A pause... and then.... “April fools!” The laughter nearly raised the roof.

Our service started with our music director playing a Christmas hymn. We all dutifully joined in. He stooped after the chorus "April fools"
Tis like that after the Ides of March ... still chaos ...

Reminds me of the year we sang 'Joy to the World' on Easter Day. Yes, it's a Christmas carol, but... strangely enough, it fit nicely.

Some would say it doesn't fit protocol ... so it must be evil! Curiosity be damned we that know all that needs to be known have no interest beyond ... that ...

Were you there yet? So Cronkite-ish ... like You Are There and don't know it ... one step away from heaven and knowing little as yet? Ever wonder about the hollo cast of WW2 and those that denied the brutality? Thus it does on ... must be a buried mental process! Profound?

Is that like an aesthetic well head ...

Ours started with, "Be Our Guest" from Beauty and the Beast, but the words were changed to reflect an invitation to all.
