Agreed, easy to do, and happy to do for another group.
Thanks. The CYM is August 4-11, I would think that the comittee might check WC2 out. Subforum sounds like a good idea, because quakers don’t really “ discuss” / “ argue”. Moderating might look a bit different there.
This is exactly why we have the concept of subforum mods in the specialty forums Basically, these are mods who can only exercise mod powers in a specific forum. We don't have subforum mods for UCCan Talk because we generally have enough UCCan members and clergy on the regular mod team but for a more specialized forum like this, we could give one or two members those rights. And regular mods would still be able to mod there as well if needed. If you get interest, @Mrs.Anteater , let us know and we can discuss in Council and get things set up.
Would you be interested in being one of the subforum mods, if it happens? I know you're fairly new to the Friends but you're quite familiar with WC2 and it's rules and protocols, which may be as important as your status as a Quaker.Moderating might look a bit different there.
I think lets wait until I hear something back. They might absolutely not be interested. I jumped the gun a bit, because I wanted to hear some opinions from WC before any official interest is voiced. That way, they could also see, how people here think about them.Would you be interested in being one of the subforum mods, if it happens? Another question to consider is how to set up access. For UCCan Talk, there is actually a separate access right. We give it to everyone by default but, because it is separate from access to the general forums, we can ban someone from UCCan Talk without banning them outright (I have a sticky post at the top of UCCan Talk explaining this). That way, if someone is causing deliberate disruptions specifically in that forum's discussions, we don't have to go nuclear on them, just remove their access to that one forum. I'm thinking the Quaker forum would be the same.

I am unaware that we ever established a minimum number. I think any reasonable request for a specialty forum would be entertained by the Council.Mrs.Anteater said:how many would it take to get their own specialty forum?
