Snowing? Yikes

lovely spring day in Clarksburg. Still a bit of snow on the ski hills though

and it’s Friday! Pizza night!

Good morning (or early afternoon as the case may be). The sun is shining here right now. That's good as Mr Northwind is moving a friends' fifth wheel to another site in the park right now. It was supposed to be rainy today so it's good the sun is here right now.

Sending warm thoughts to @ChemGal and possibly @BethAnne who may be experiencing the same fate in weather.

Cheers. The coffee was great. Now for a cup of brisk Irish breakfast tea.

Now for a cup of brisk Irish breakfast tea.

Just finished lunch and sipping orange pekoe (nothing fancy, just Red Rose) with lime. Tea Haus has a Scottish breakfast that I like. Their Irish breakfast is good, too. Was going to put in an order but got some David's as a birthday gift from Little M so will wait until that gets low.

I like Scottish Breakfast too. We have a couple great independent tea shops here that are better than Davids. :)

Tea Haus is my local indie. There is a flavour David's has that I like that Tea Haus doesn't have a counterpart for, though, so I can't completely give up on David's.

*sigh* The answer about hand sanitizer in the room was a no. 1 - no space (the room doesn't have much space at all, there's a chair and some hooks for clothes, the door is a sliding one, I don't think there's space for a swinging door if it went in) and 2 - it's hard to get.
I was just asking the receptionist, maybe she will discuss with the doctor to get it in there.

Been a bit grey but the chance of showers dropped earlier today. Look threatening right now, though.

29 degrees today, frost warning for tonight. But- no snow here!

That must be either 29F or some kind of temperature swing.

We were just sitting outside with friends. The wind picked up a bit and got colder. We all retreated to our warm spaces indoors.

It is beautiful here. Mid 20s, celsius, sunny. Daughter and guy have just returned from a pick-up errand with my truck, and loaded the summer tires in for me. They also vacuumed it for me before they brought it back. Good kids.

Good morning! With the song of the frog and the chirp of the birds, comes the perk of the coffee and the steep of the leaves. The beverage cart is ready. Salute the weekend with a warm beverage.

I really miss the sounds of frogs now we live in town. I am delighted every time I spot a humming bird - every day for a week so far. Once I spotted a pair doing their mating dance so I'm really hoping they nest nearby and spend their time visiting the feeder!

I'm thankful to be able to hear all manner of birds in the trees around us. Who knew that's how an eagle sounded? One day maybe I'll be able to identify more of them.

The coffee was delicious as always.

Permission to vent (pls ignore if you wish)...

So, when I moved into this suite I picked up some odds n' ends. I have a whole apartment in storage on the mainland that is staying there until I have my own self contained place to put it. I have lots dishes and pots and pans (parts of two lagostina sets), microwave, small appliances in storage.

I made this place a home as much as possible with second hand finds that I share, some livingroom furniture included - kitchen stuff, I picked up some of what was needed - was given a microwave for my birthday after moving in here because this place didn't have one. I bought an electric kettle, a cheapish one - because my stepbrother took his that was here, upstairs. I bought a couple of half decent pots for communal use. There was a big cast iron pan that was here. It always generates too much smoke and sets the alarm off when my roommate cooks with heavy grease, and there's another scratched up no stick pan that's not used. I don't fry a lot but I wanted a new one and my step dad saw a deal and got me a decent one - said "Be careful not to scratch it." So I passed this caution on to my roommate. She has already treated the microwave pretty rough and the buttons are looking damaged (but still works). Coincidentally, she got a new frying pan the same day. It was on the counter, dirty, when I got home. Curiously, I didn't see it in the kitchen after that. Today I asked her if she was keeping it in her room. She said yes. I told her it's bizarre that she shares my stuff but keeps her own pan in her room. I've never heard of that before. I told her it seems rude to me. She said it's because she doesn't want to scratch mine. That only explains why she would use her own, not keep her own in her room. It's so weird and uncomfortable living with this immature person who's all for herself. I just need to vent.
