Hi Jae --
The in filling of GODS Holy Spirit , is some what different than have GODS Holy Spirit helping you. The Apostles had The Holy Spirit helping them. But to receive, The infilling ". They had to go to the upper room, and wait". Come on Jae put GODS Word" together.
:ROFLMAO:

Well, yes, it was. It was correcting my judgment that Seeler has plenty of the Spirit. It was airclean's way of saying "and how would you know; you're an ignorant idiot". I can read airclean-ese by now. It's usually shallow on substance, heavy on "I know everything and I'm right"

.
--AIRCLEAN--POST--Hi BetteTheRed--You have said your not sure even if your a Christian. As so, I would say how can someone" who know GOD". Understand some one who dose? I find Seeler a kind of nice person . Even though, Her and I don't often agree", on many things in GODS Word." I believe your a very well educated person. Even though I am not that well educated. I have had people work for me, maybe even smarter, than you". How one act's, and walks, in life ", I have to judge by what I see or in this case read. You I believe, has had some problem with Men". What Seeler believes and you", our your beliefs". I pray for The GOD I follow to help you both". My belief is you both could become my Sisters in Christ".

actually airclean is correct, The Holy Spirit works in the world with many non believers and believers , HS Blows where He wills, but to be Infilled by The Spirit is different

The apostle Paul commands in Ephesians 5:18 that we be filled with the Spirit.
How do you personally tell if someone is filled with the Holy Spirit?

you can read it in scripture

Infilled, born again, born anew, new spirit in you, regenerated man, ect all same
That doesn't answer the question. What you have answered cannot explain how you can tell someone is filled with the Holy Spirit. So when you see someone, how do you know they are filled with the Holy Spirit?

a Christian is not A Christian based on anything that he/she does , though we strive to, but a christian is a christian solely and entirely on the work Christ did for us on the cross

Then why does Paul natter on so about the fruits of the Spirit. What happened to "they will know we are Christians by our love"?

scripture tells of the singes , for one Jesus is Yahweh , if you want to truly know all the signs and how the Holy Spirit affects a believers life , read scripture

because Paul is spreading the "Good News" that ultimate Love Died for you ", why? because Paul once a murder , was filled with the Spirit

so what do you consider Love To be? accepting Falsehoods or speaking Truth?

airclean, you appear to have read into some of what I have said (problem with Men, wtf?- only STUPID ones, and I'm not fond of stupid women, either) and read very little of what I actually say.

I am a cradle Christian. I am a long-time member of a local United Church, although I was brought up in the Lutheran Church and mothered by a Catholic. I have been their Chair of the Board; I'm currently the Team Leader of the Faith Formation and Christian Education Team., a member of the Nominating Team. In contrast with your 'theology', which I don't find very cohesive or well-thought out, I am pretty clear about my BS. I have non-theistic view of Divinity, I have a low-to-zero Christology, in that I believe that, IF there was a historical Jesus, which seems fairly likely, I consider his legacy to be that of what a Jew would call a Major Prophet. I do not believe in heaven or hell and consider discussion about such imaginary places as largely trivial wishful thinking. I run an Emerging Christianity study group once a week, attend a weekly lectio divina bible study, where I am known fondly as the Resident Heretic and the Eternal Devil's Advocate. I also go to church every Sunday, and am the organizer of the lay readers. I'm not unfamiliar with the Bible, both from a reading, and a studying, POV. I have, easily, half a dozen different translations generally fairly handy. I have said ALL of these things on various threads over the years. Here it is one place for your reference.

Now, I have been partly responsible for taking the Spirit-filled Seeler's thread completely adrift, so maybe a moderator should move the whole mess off the Reading the Bible thread and onto another called, "Who Thinks They Can Tell Who is Spirit-Filled?"...

again, if you would like to know what scripture says about the Holy Spirit , read it , pray on it. But Like i said , one biggie is Jesus is God in Flesh

Is it that hard for an atheist/agnostic to recognize a Christian if that Christian is living their life as one?
--Hi Waterfall--
Airclean--post--This is a very interesting Post. You believe it is very easy, to point out a Living Christion. And yet they could not see the Christ. Would you really know a Christian if you seen a real one. three Men dying on
on crosses. ONE was The YeShua, The other two, were thieves" , but one, would become a Christian ,"that day, He also would die that day". Could you have told me which One? The Christ" could have told me who that would be . Have you achieved" that walk Waterfall? I myself am still working on it , but hope one day", to be the same as YeShua". airclean33.

1 Corinthians 12:3

Therefore I inform you that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus be cursed," and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit.

Acts 1:8
But when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power to testify about me with great effect, to the people in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth, about my death and resurrection.”

Good for you Seeler. I have a special Bible-purchased quite a few years ago from the Canadian bible society. It is split up into 365 days of readings. Some OT some Psalms and some NT every day. After reading it I lent it to my mom who used it for a few years. Hmm I need to ask for it back.

Can a Jew have the Holy Spirit in dwelling in them? (not a Messianic Jew)
