I follow the United Church site on FB and subjects are repeated by same people. They are not as friendly.

over there imo.

One day Giancarlo should be told about Stephen Booth.
...
Assuming he's still following this thread, I think he's just learned plenty.

Um, can we take discussion of our "Friend" to another thread? Not sure this is really helpful to Giancarlo beyond telling him who to avoid.
This is rather off topic.
We do tend to repeat topics of discussion.

Is it because we are unprepared to process the plus and minus at the given time and place of the spot we're in? Thus naivete reins and all in all we are left stunned and without conscience we do not recognize what we haven't learned adequately!

That condition appears as a massive or vast attribute ... like black and hole-like. Something in which a physical being could implode into not being ... thus he wasn't as apparent (once adapted to the label incarnate)! Yep ... that's the word ... HS ... I foun dite!

Sometimes I need repetition! After all, the revised common lectionary repeats, and we often review the same scripture readings in a cycle. Sometimes the repetition makes me realize how much my thinking has changed (for the good or not so good). So, the ministers who don't like the repetition here..hmmmm. They could contribute and get something new going. Or add new insights to same old topics.

Actually, my involvement in recent years with a lectio divina group has led me to a different understanding of "repetition", "same". My feelings and reactions to familiar passages definitely evolve over time.
