She is not simply organizing and keeping on budget. She is making decisions about what we are allowed to read. And she is doing so not to our commercial news media, but only to our social media. She had no training in journalism, and no experience of any sort in it. In short, a 29 year old rich girl has given herself the right to tell me what I am allowed to read.

As I said, I agree. But that just means she has the wrong title, not that there's anything wrong with the title itself.
 
There's something very wrong when the title is a lie. How would you react if I told you that I held the title of world's most beautiful man?

Would you feel it wrong if I were to be called the commander-in-chief of all the world's armies?

What is the point of separating her title from what it is she actually does? Here we have an organization that goes well beyond a title to actually cutting off our rights and judgements on what we want to read. But let's not waste time on this.

As we speak, 15,000 American soldiers are on their way to block desperate migrants at the U.S. Mexico border. There are families destroyed by American control of the economies and working conditions - control that impoverishes, starves, humiliates. This is the result of many decades of plundering resources by US capitalists, of 'trade sanctions' to further impoverish. They are slogging their way lacking food, shelter....the rate of sickness must now be very, very high - and they still have a thousand miles to go on foot. There are thousands of children, babies, among them. And 15,000 Onward Christian soldiers, heavily armed and preparing to block them - probably by separating families, and putting all into the horror of wire cages, neglect, abuse.....
There are reports of local hee-haws with rifles waiting for the chance to fire on them. And this is all fuelled by a racial hatred generated by the Trump circle.

Will the Christian churches have the morality and/or integrity to take a position on this? If history is a guide, they won't. Indeed, the most vicious killers and racists they face are the Christians of the Bible belt.

Let's skip the quibbling over trivia. Is this an issue for Christians to be concerned about? Yes or no?

(Historically, it is not an issue to be concerned about. Think back to the role of Christians of all nations when Hitler murdered Jews. Nor were the Christian churches upset by American mass murder at Hiroshima and Nagasaki - or at the 20 million (probably more) killed by the US since 1945. The churches, indeed, seem not to have noticed even that most of this killing was done for the already high profit of western capitalists.)

What about hate groups and extreme right that are deliberately spreading their message far and wide, by exploiting a technology whereby algorithms behave something like viruses, so the messages incubate and multiply and spread from person to person, just by clicks, by people opening up the propaganda on their computers?...they didn’t consider how the technological design of their platform could be exploited by bad actors (look up Cambridge analytica and the Canadian tech/ “research” contractors they worked with who gave some of their trade secrets to the Russians, and helped direct far right propaganda by targeting 50, 000 Facebook pages, planting a psych quiz application on them - a covert little psy-op; which gave them a little psych profile of users then connected them to every one of those 50, 000s users “friends” on Facebook, which then gave them access to millions of voters data without their permission). I think they are attempting - a little too late - to do damage control on that (partly because it hurts their bottom line and partly because it was the mechanism that swayed the Brexit vote and also got Trump elected and has contributed to the radicalization of some violent people who have committed atrocities), more than they are actually trying to censor real journalism. It’s a quandary because they helped the far right fascistic hate propaganda genie out of the bottle, but trying to contain it now means people who are not doing anything wrong it are affected.

CNN and MSNBC don’t like that they have to pay $30,000 per week for actors to say whatever lie they are instructed while another person can have a bigger audience sitting in their bedroom making a living simply pointing out the network lies.

After two years of Russia lies some people are still holding onto that while the rest of the world has moved on.

No, I actually don’t. There’s not a huge difference between a Russia style government, a Hungarian style government, and a (newly elected) Brazil style government, and a Philippines style government, etc. and what Trump is trying to achieve. That’s why he likes despots.
