Delightful Life

Around the world Muslims will be ending their long fast and partake in the Feast of Breaking the Fast called Eid al-Fitr.

For the past month Muslims have been fasting from Dawn to Sunset during Ramadan. Want to know what the standard is? Ask a Muslim and they will tell you their standard. Their religion is even more diverse than Christianity...they are more truly like Krisnamurti's riff on everyone having their own religion. Which works both ways: since Islam is so truly diverse, there is no Islamophobia because there is no, unlike say Christianity, one standard. However, there are people who do call their own interpretation the right one. That is how humans are. We are social hierarchial beings who will always have status. People above and people below. People with less and people with more. Difference, not equality of outcome. B L A H!!!

As you may remember my new landlady and lord are Muslims from Fiji. They have been very kind and generous. Their children are a treasure. I have been invited to their feast. Their family from Fiji will (and some are) visiting.

Such is life.

I look at other parts of the world, seeing the chaos and madness and stupidity and evil (cf. Berkeley Riots, Iraq Occupation, Ukraine War, Identity Politics becoming more and more a part of university life, Postmodernism and Marxism entering even the hard sciences, nondiscovery of the cuton and so forth). But like the Irish Proverb "it is in the shelter of each other where the people live."

I am blessed and indeed quite fortunate.

Not to mention exhausted by the current heatwave here. After doing churchyardwork in 30 degree heat. Yeah. No points 4 me.

I'll leave you with something that I came across. Apparently some in the distant past had other interesting ways of portraying the Trinity.

I find them very trippy.

(And our LadyLord with eyeliner...awe. Some)

See here for examples Trinity in the Bible?: Three-Headed Trinity?

Good to see you again!
Fiji isn't a common answer when you ask someone where they are from. Enjoy the feast!
Any chance of some cooler weather soon?

Herez hopin
Therez a ski hill where the hill operators have a lil roadside church where they pray to Ullr g_d of snow when there aint enough snow

Who I hear has been pretty prominent "back East". Crazy cold weather.
N north california during their winter they had to deal with floods...ach

N ive been told by one of my landladylords that their sect is a small one. Both parents are so super busy all the time that they cant teach their kids their faith so their kids learn via skype. Modern world.

I've run into that whetted thing; sky Pi ... a rationalization of curves (sec Tauris)* in divides that are out there ... like 3 men in a' bode ... bide 'n their time ! Blocks of thought ... into mental rheum's ...

Some complain of the rheum at-ism is a pain, i.e. belief that learning different hurts as mental space shifts! Creeps out the hard tack with Pi Soup ... just for the dipping ... swing low sweet chariot ... Eire that supports God's ... while the remnant left goes on ... just small bits like Mr. Higgin's parts? Miff AIr Lady .. often seen as burnt ochre under the power of flames ... thus baked into ... or demiurge 'd?

*Some say quadrants ... thus rants doing away with the triads and supporting the root square kind that augurs po' Leigh with those hanging on the the ancient stuff and not carrying that into what's coming ... thus it ghost!

It is cunning how the Skye lass stays rye and transparent ... dark as the midnight horse ...

Welcome back, Inanna, I am glad someone mentions Eid, it is indeed an important feast. Here in Halifax, one United church congregation and their moslem neighbours have planned a walk or human chain from the church to the mosque for today.
Lets hope for a peaceful day.

Our sponsored family, and their sponsors, found this year's Ramadan quite traumatic actually, on two fronts. The first is the misfortune of this rotating holiday during the months with the longest days of the years, particularly (secondly) in conjunction with a system that is not Islamic and is not set up to be sympathetic/accommodating to this month of kids arriving at school for a full day with no food and no water and no intention of consuming either.

My heart was a little broken to tell 10 year old H_____h that we wouldn't be able to drive them to and from school (about 1.5 km each way) during the long month (fortunately not as warm as it often is here, like last year).

So many different Muslims
There are even some who drink and sell alcohol
And eat bacon
Must be mindblowing for yer acquaintances
Im pretty close in culture to American Pacific Northwest and Ive gone through culture shock with the shakes and crying...
I have thot aboot Muslim children here who during Ramadan cant drink water during restricted times...still new enough to me to make me wonder if that is very healthy to developing bodies n minds?
There is really no reason to go to other worlds to meet the alien...just go outside...:3

Tis so true ... so many walls built to restrict what good for a' sol ...

To be is also to be not
There is no such animal as a culture or belief or lifestyle that is everything or that accounts for everything...
Decide or act or believe and possibilities are cut off completely naturally
Despite the Regressive Left's attempt at creating their utopia or the Dominionist Right's...
Flux and change...within a finite but boundless range...
Ive read rabbis saying that we are what g_d can never be (and thus our important relationship with the Divine): Limited and Finite.
LA DI DAH!!!

Thus the continuous goings on ... support it with a few dark words ... inky? This may fit in as incarnate ... tis a dark explicit non-attribute ...

Once getting beyond the blue (azure) the dark ness goes on like a Scottish puddle ...

Pick your likes with due concerns ... that Anis in old word ... created just to preserve what the mortal gods wished ... amour chaos?

Some don't see it coming ...

to all my Muslim sisters and brotherz

Soon will be the end of Ramadan 2018
and much relief as normal eating can resume
hard core living indeed (y)
