Anyone going to General Council in July?

I have just applied to be considered as a steward. I've never gone to a GC befre but I know several wc2ers have. It may be the last GC ever.

Under the new structure the Denominational Council (GC by a different name) will still meet every 3 years. how it will meet is yet to be determined.

I went to GC in Ottawa. It would be nice to be able to go to Windsor. I can't do that this year.

General Council is in Oshawa this year, on the campus shared by Durham College/University of Ontario Institute of Technology. There's an opening for a clergy commissioner in my Presbytery. I'm thinking about putting my name forward, but haven't yet decided.

Um, it was Northwind who mentioned Windsor, not Tabitha, and I don't think she actually meant it was in Windsor, only that she would like to go to Windsor, ie. wished it was there.

Oshawa is an interesting choice but I guess with the two campuses there, they have the facilities. Nice that they are getting out into communities other than the big ones.

Well yes, in a sense.

We will change the name from General Council to Denominational Council and Commissioners will multiply to the point that it will be very difficult to get all together in one place physically.

Not, I think, an improvement at all.
